1. The show opens with a scene of private detective Maddie Hayes waking up in her room at home. What do we see? 3. David Addison soon goes to Maddie's office to talk to her about the crisis. Maddie says there's a budget crunch and she can't allow people as much time off as they'd like. What does David say? Just remember, Maddie, a good job doesn't love you back. Well, I don't want to go home and see my family either, so let's call it even. That's okay, I know you're not into this sort of thing anyway. Santa's going to put coal in your stocking if you don't watch out.

4. Maddie gets a phone call. What is it about? One of her clients has to cancel Some photos she was waiting for have been destroyed There is a delivery from a Mr. S. Claus Her Aunt Ruth died

5. After the phone call, Maddie goes outside and tells the staff the extra work time is a matter of necessity, and that's all there is to it. She reminds them the agency is the reason they can earn a living. Still irate, Maddie flees the office. Where does she go? 8. The two next go to check out what happened to Blue Moon itself. What do they find at the office? It was replaced by a law firm No one will let them in It was taken over by a bank Another detective agency has taken its place

9. The companion takes Maddie to the third site. What happens there? David got arrested and has to do community service David moved back to Philadelphia David lives in Maddie's old house, and he's getting married David's brother, Richard, opened a business with him

10. Maddie has had enough and wants to snap out of it. Her companion tells her that's not allowed; he can't reverse what's about to happen. What horrifying vision takes place next? Maddie ends her life by driving into a wall The economy collapses, and all her friends lose their jobs There is a massive earthquake, which wipes out much of the city Maddie is arrested for a crime she did not commit
