Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is an 'Unrestrained' WAY?

Answer: Freeway

A freeway is a heavily-traveled road designed for a great number of automobiles. While some are only two lanes, many expand well beyond that to accommodate larger loads. Freeways differ from other roads because, in many cases, they are offered without tolls-- they're free to use to reach your destination. Most freeways are found around major urban areas (or at least alongside them) but many countries have networks of freeways taking people to major cities of interest.

These routes are similarly called 'highways', 'expressways', and 'parkways'.
2. A WAY 'For Kirstie or Tin Pans' would be which of these?

Answer: Alleyway

An alleyway is a passage between two buildings; they're usually quite grimy if not well maintained and in a bad part of town they're likely unsafe. As for the clue, you'd probably have found your way to an alleyway by liking 'Kirstie' to "Cheers" actress Kirstie Alley. Alternatively, Tin Pan Alley is a name for a collective group of musicians from New York who pioneered famous songs in the early days of radio.

The original Tin Pan Alley was actually a block in Manhattan and not just a single alleyway.
3. What would be an 'Appropriate' WAY or a WAY for 'Fine Weather'?

Answer: Fairway

'Fairway' is a golf term used to describe the space on a golf course between the tee and the putting green. While this area can usually contain any number of hazards along its edges or throughout, the fairway is cut low, so players who hit their ball along the course will be at a distinct advantage with subsequent hits as opposed to those who are so far off the course that they're in higher-grass. Fairway is also a chain of grocery stores in the United States (mainly found in New York City).
4. What WAY is 'faster than a jog'?

Answer: Runway

A 'Runway' is the unobstructed road from which aircraft can take off or touch back down. Created at a certain length and in order to provide the safest landing for planes and the like, a runway is often found at an airport. Runways are also used by fashion models to feature clothing. Also known as the 'catwalk', a runway is simply a raised platform designed for models to walk back and forth upon.
5. What WAY would be one to take a 'Foot-long Sandwich' on?

Answer: Subway

A subway is a (usually) underground series of rail lines which are used to transport people around an otherwise congested urban area-- most major cities around the world have a subway system of some sort consisting of several different interweaving transit lines.

The Tube, for instance, in the London Underground, is a famous subway. On a similar note, Subway is a sandwich company originally founded in the United States. They have since brought their 'Eat Fresh' mentality to many countries around the world.
6. What would be the WAY to go for 'A Lightweight Apple Laptop'?

Answer: Airway

An airway is a passage through which air can be taken in; for mammals, the main airway would begin at the nose or mouth, then head down through the throat into the trachea and end at the lungs. An airway may also be used to refer to the path or route taken by an airplane in flight. On said flight you may consider bringing your more affordable Apple laptop-- a Macbook Air would be the way to go if you're looking for something sturdy and basic.
7. 'The Instep of the Foot' is what WAY?

Answer: Archway

The arches of your foot are found between the heel and the toes and form much of the basic structure of the appendage, creating a strong base upon which to stand. Since so much weight is placed on the feet this part of the body is important for stability and balance. Arches are very strong structures in architecture as well-- they can be seen in doorways and landmarks worldwide (the Gateway Arch in the U.S., for example). McDonalds' 'Golden Arches' are another famous pair. 'Archway' is simply another word for a structural 'Arch'.
8. Which WAY would you take 'A Single Step' to travel (perhaps to Heaven)?

Answer: Stairway

One step or one stair would comprise part of a stairway, a path taken by gradually elevated platforms used to go up or down. Perhaps you may be considering Led Zeppelin's classic rock song "Stairway to Heaven" which released in 1971 and has since been considered one of the most famous rock titles ever made. Stairways are also known as stairwells (if enclosed) and staircases. You'd probably never step foot on a 'stepway'-- it's not a thing.
9. What is a WAY to 'Make Something Happen'?

Answer: Causeway

A 'causeway' is a supported passage over a body of water, usually constructed by man-made land of some sort (eg. a dyke or land-bridge). Causeways support roads or tracks of sorts (eg. trains) and vary in length. They can be found in a variety of places all around the world.

A famous causeway is the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland, a series of basalt columns; another is Causeway Bay, a built-up area of Hong Kong featuring many skyscrapers and shopping centers.
10. What WAY should you take to see 'A 2011 Ryan Gosling Movie', perhaps 'in your car'?

Answer: Driveway

A 'driveway' is a paved (or unpaved) strip of land in front of a garage or house designed to hold your vehicle when it's not in use. This can be paved with concrete, stones, gravel, or any other array of solid material, to distinguish it from non-road.
"Drive" was a critically acclaimed upon its release in 2011. An independent film directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, it earned over $75,000,000 in the box office and placed Ryan Gosling in an action role.
