Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Pym has long been romantically connected to this woman.

Answer: Janet van Dyne

Janet van Dyne is the superhero commonly known as The Wasp, and has been married to Pym in the past. They were married when Pym was not using his size-changing powers and going by the name Yellowjacket.
2. Which of these super-heroic identities has Pym not used?

Answer: Titan

Pym has used a number of secret identities in the past, usually changing his nom de guerre to reflect his powers. While he's used Giant-Man, Goliath and Ant-Man, he's never been Titan.
3. Pym's assistant Bill Foster has never been a hero.

Answer: False

Bill Foster was a scientific genius in his own right and briefly gained size-changing powers as well. He became Black Goliath, reflecting his African-American heritage, and was killed in the Civil War.
4. In which series did Pym make his first appearance?

Answer: Tales to Astonish

Pym and van Dyne both made their debuts in "Tales to Astonish", which began as a science-fiction anthology and became a superhero-themed comic book. The Hulk and Sub-Mariner also made appearances in the series.
5. What was the name of Pym's first wife?

Answer: Maria Trovaya

Trovaya was Hungarian, and was killed by the Hungarian secret police. Shortly thereafter Pym discovered Pym particles, which could alter some thing's very size, and Ant-Man was born.
6. On his first adventure as Ant-Man, whom did Pym defeat?

Answer: KGB agents

During his tenure at "Tales to Astonish", Ant-Man fought many villains. The most unique one was the Living Eraser, thought by many to be an ill-planned and laughable idea for a evil-doer.
7. Ultron is based off of Pym's own brain patterns.

Answer: True

Pym created Ultron, an android which, to his horror, became self-aware and evil, plotting to kill all of humanity. Pym's resulting guilt added to his list of mental problems, such as his inferiority complex.
8. Pym became paranoid and even went so far as to hit Janet. Which villain triggered this?

Answer: Egghead

Egghead was an evil scientist who tried to use Ant-Man to capture the nation's supply of adamantium, a very strong metal. Wolverine's claws are made out of adamantium.
9. Where did Pym accept a residency?

Answer: Oxford

In the "Avengers Finale", Pym and Janet left to go to England and try once more at a romantic relationship. Pym had accepted a residency at Oxford and had made peace with his various mental problems.
10. In the Ultimate universe, what was Giant-Man's original height maximum?

Answer: 59 feet and 11 inches

Sixty feet was the point where the human body could no longer support itself, but many people are able to surpass this limit later in the series, including Pym himself.
