Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico, there was reportedly a crash of a UFO that left debris scattered for miles. This was the considered "king" of all of the UFO incidents. On the grounds of whose farm was much of the debris from this crash scattered?

Answer: W.W. Brazel

In the first week of July 1947, there was indeed a crash of some kind of unidentified object. Much of the debris was scattered on the farm of W.W. "Mack" Brazel. This story seems hard to refute unless many people were telling tall tales. The Roswell Army Airfield public information officer, Walter Haut, initially admitted the military had recovered a "flying disk" and even gave a press release to that effect to the local paper.

But later that same day the Commanding General of the Eighth Air Force, Roger Ramey, retracted the story stating that it was a weather balloon that had been recovered and not a "flying disk". Don't you think that the US army would be able to tell the difference between a weather balloon and a flying disc?! If not, then "army intelligence" is truly an oxymoron.

After years of research, I'd like to add that I firmly believe it was a "flying saucer". Was it a secret government project, a vehicle from somewhere in our universe, or could it have been from another dimension? It boggles the mind to think about.
2. The US military initially stated that what they had recovered from the Roswell crash site was the remains of a flying disc. They then changed their story to say that the remains were from an experimental high altitude surveillance balloon. It was part of a top secret project. What was the name of that project?

Answer: Mogul

Project Mogul was supposedly a very important project that was classified as "Top Secret Priority 1A". According to what the military said at the time, the weather balloon was part of a project for carrying microphones to listen to the first Soviet Atom Bomb detonation. Whether you believe it or not is up to you. UFO or weather balloon?
3. Major Jesse Marcel was the lead investigator in the Roswell incident. In a television interview many years after the crash, he claimed to have found something among the UFO debris that resembled tin foil. What was so special about this foil?

Answer: It wouldn't burn or cut and was almost weightless

There were several people along with Marcel who claimed to have seen this foil, and all attempts to destroy it. It reputedly wouldn't burn, tear, cut with a knife or even dent when hit with a 16 pound sledge hammer.
4. According to Major Jesse Marcel, what other strange property did the "foil" found at the the alleged Roswell crash site have?

Answer: If crumpled it would return to its original shape

This is a strange one indeed. According to witnesses who claimed to have seen and or handled this foil, if crumpled, it would return to its original shape. According to Dr. Jesse Marcel Jr., when he was 11 years old his father woke him and his mother up in the middle of the night to show them items that he had found in the debris field of the UFO crash.

The "foil" was part of the find. Jesse Jr. had supposedly put a small piece of it in his pocket about the size of one of his fingers. After several days he took it out and put it in a cigar box.

As he placed it in the box he noticed that it unfolded itself and flattened itself out.
5. Among the Roswell crash debris that Major Marcel showed his young son was allegedly something that appeared to have hieroglyphics, or shapes, leaves and circles on it. All of the figures appeared to have a purple/violet hue to them. What did these figures appear on?

Answer: A piece of an I-beam like structure

Jesse Marcel Jr. claimed that what his father had showed him appeared to be a piece of an I-beam. It was roughly 1/8 inch wide by 3/8 high. There were actually quite a few pieces found at various lengths and I'm not sure how long the piece was that Jesse Jr. saw.

The beam was supposedly extremely light in weight, appeared to be metallic and would neither bend, break, or burn. On its inner surface there were figures not unlike hieroglyphics that resembled no known language. The figures had an embossed appearance and a purple-violet hue to them. According to the Air Force report these I-beams were merely pieces of glue coated balsa-wood.
6. Roswell mortician Glenn Dennis reportedly received a phone call from the local military base. The caller said said that they needed three child-sized coffins that would hermetically seal. These were not available. This was the same base that supposedly had three lifeless alien bodies that were recovered from the Roswell crash site. What were the coffins made of that were delivered to the base?

Answer: Cardboard

Glenn Dennis did not have enough coffins to fill the reported order placed by the military base, so Garner Mason of Hagerman filled the order. His father, grandfather, and uncles ran a family mortuary business at the time. It was their family business that delivered the caskets to the RAAF base hospital. According to Mason, the caskets they delivered were made of cardboard. Glenn Dennis saw a little too much.

He went to the base hospital to pick up a serviceman who had a laceration on his head and as he pulled around the back, he claimed to have noticed an open door.

He said he saw enough so that the military felt the need to threaten him. A captain at the base hospital reputedly warned him that if he was to talk about what he had seen, "somebody will be picking your bones out of the sand."
7. On July 8, 1947 the local Roswell newspaper, called the "Roswell Daily Record", had headlines about a UFO being found in the area. What did those headlines actually read?

Answer: RAAF Captures Flying Saucer On Ranch in Roswell Region

The newspaper article went on to say that "The intelligence office of the 509th Bombardment group at Roswell Army Air Field announced at noon today, that the field has come into possession of a flying saucer. According to information released by the department, over authority of Maj. J. A. Marcel, intelligence officer, the disk was recovered on a ranch in the Roswell vicinity, after an unidentified rancher had notified Sheriff Geo. Wilcox, here, that he had found the instrument on his premises".
8. The exact date of the Roswell crash is supposedly unknown. However, research has shown that military radar had been tracking an unidentified flying object in the skies over Southern New Mexico for four days. On which night did the radar show that the object had gone down?

Answer: July 4th

On the night of July 4, 1947, radar indicated that an unidentified flying object had gone down thirty to forty miles northwest of Roswell. A man named William Woody who lived east of Roswell was outside the night of July 4. He said that he remembered a brilliant object fall from the sky and plunge to the ground.
9. A man named George Wilcox worked in Roswell at the time of the alleged UFO. crash. Who was he?

Answer: Sheriff

George A. Wilcox was the sheriff of Chaves Country in July of 1947. The role that was played by the Chaves County Sheriff in the Roswell UFO crash, though of major importance, is even today not totally understood nor appreciated. Had George Wilcox not made the phone call that day to the local army base to alert them to a rancher's discovery of the weird crash debris, the truth about the event would have spread far and wide like wildfire.

The details of the crash would never have been able to have been kept secret.
10. In 1973, former President Nixon allegedly showed alien bodies recovered from Roswell to a famous actor. Who was this actor?

Answer: Jackie Gleason

Jackie himself did not like to talk about what really happened. His wife Beverly, however, did an interview for "Esquire" magazine in which she spoke of what Jackie had allegedly told her. He was a fanatic about the subject of the government coverup of UFOs, and read whatever he could get his hands on regarding the subject.

He also had a huge collection of UFO-related books. Gleason and Nixon were friends. Supposedly they were out golfing one day and later that night after Jackie got home, Nixon showed up at his doorstep alone and driving his own private car.

They reportedly drove off to Homestead Air Force Base. When there, they went into a well-guarded building where Nixon allegedly first pointed out what he said was the wreckage from a flying saucer enclosed in several cases. Next, they went into an inner chamber and there were six or eight of what looked like glass-topped Coke freezers.

Inside them were the mangled remains of what Gleason claimed he took to be children. Then, upon looking closely, he saw that some of the other figures looked really old. Most of them were badly mangled as if they had been in an accident. Gleason was excited and quite traumatized by what he saw.

He reputedly could barely eat or sleep for weeks afterwards, and found himself drinking heavily until he was able to compose himself. His wife at the time, Beverly, recalled him being out very late that night and speaking excitedly about what he had seen after he returned home. They were on the verge of splitting at the time and he was furious when he found out she made his story public. Martin Venker, a former secret service agent, said in his book that on the night in question Nixon tried to elude agents guarding him. He had eluded them in the past.
