Answer: First Battle of Bull Run

Jackson's army stood up like a "Stonewall" at the Battle of Bull Run. It is said that on Henry Hill, General Bernard Bee shouted "Look at Jackson's men standing up there like a "stonewall". It is said that he did not care for the nickname for himself, but he was proud to call his men the "Stonewall Brigade".
2. Which of the battles did Stonewall not have knowledge of because of his death?

Answer: Gettysburg

Jackson died at Chancellorsville in the early May of 1863. Through his writings, it is said that he had a premonition of his death. The Battle of Gettysburg would not occur until July of 1863.

Answer: Little Sorell

The horse is on display in the VMI military museum in Lexington, Virginia. It was his wish for a taxidermist to stuff him. Little Sorell is a tannish brown which was the color of this famous horse.

Jackson was shot after the Battle of Chancellorsville. He was going back to camp when he was "mistaken" as the enemy by the 18th North Carolina regiment. It is also said that he was not well liked by his students or soldiers, so someone may have got revenge.

Jackson had his finger shot off in the First Battle of Bull Run. He took three shots after the Battle of Chancellorsville. He had to have is arm amputated from these wounds. His official cause of death was called pleural-pneumonia.
10. Which general was Jackson's opponent at Chancellorsville?

Answer: Joseph Hooker

Joseph Hooker was the commander for the Union Army (United States or North) at Chancellorsville. He would be replaced by Lincoln after the defeat.
