Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the first Tradition?

Answer: Masquerade

'Thou shalt not reveal thy true nature to those not of the Blood. Doing such shall renounce thy claims of Blood.'
2. What is the second Tradition?

Answer: Domain

'Thy domain is thine own concern. All others owe thee respect while in it. None may challenge thy word while in thy domain.' This refers to havens of all Kindred, as well as the entire city for a Prince.
3. What is the third Tradition?

Answer: Progeny

'Thou shall only Sire another with the permission of thine Elder. If thou createst another without thine Elder's leave, both thou and thy Progeny shall be slain.' The term 'Elder' in this case refers to the Prince of the city. To violate this law means the Final Death of both Sire and Childe.
4. What is the fourth Tradition?

Answer: Accounting

'Those thou create are thine own childer. Until thy progeny shall be released, thou shalt command them in all things. Their sins are thine to endure.' This Tradition has close ties with Progeny. However, this law extends to say that a Childe vampire has no rights until he or she is determined mature, and until that time is the responsibility of his or her Sire.
5. What is the fifth Tradition?

Answer: Hospitality

'Honor one another's domain. When thou comest to a foreign city, thou shall present thyself to the one who ruleth there. Without the word of acceptance, thou art nothing.' This Tradition does not necessarily apply to the Gangrel.
6. What is the sixth and final Tradition?

Answer: Destruction

'Thou art forbidden to destroy another of thy kind. The right of destruction belongeth only to thine Elder. Only the Eldest among thee shall call the Blood Hunt.' Talk about capital punishment! The one and only punishment for murder is death!
7. Of the following Traditions, which is considered the most important?

Answer: Masquerade

The Camarilla believe that the breaking of this Tradition will lead to the destruction of all Kindred. It is readily enforced. Equally as important is the Accounting, which teaches Childe vampires the importance of all of the other Traditions. Thanks to Whit1 for his help with this question.
8. Which clan is generally exempt from Hospitality?

Answer: The Gangrel

While most Kindred would hesitate to enforce ANY sort of rule on the powerful Antideluvians, they are not a clan. As the Gangrel are nomads, they do not stay in cities for very long and are either exempt, or flexible, when it comes to Hospitality.
9. Which of the following Traditions does not pertain directly to the Sire-Childe relationship?

Answer: Domain

Progeny is in respect to the creating of Childer. Accounting refers to the Sire's responsibility for the actions of his Childe.
10. Which Tradition would govern the punishment of a vampire guilty of committing Diablerie without the Prince's consent?

Answer: Destruction

Diablerie kills a vampire and drains its soul. Since it is an act of destruction, it is governed by Destruction. This might also be considered a breach of Domain, as presumably a Camarilla Prince would prohibit Diablerie within his city.
