The 'rules' are guidelines that White Wolf has found to be workable. I personally make Diablerie more dangerous and more profitable just to raise the level of distrust among characters. (Down a gen, easier to learn non-clan Disciplines, but you get a random derangement)

"Childer" is a variant of "children" commonly used in the Vampire universe.

Although for some extremely rare rolls the storyteller may opt for a different die. I have been known to roll Malkavian rolls on six-sided dice to reinforce their madness.
