Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The denizens of "Greater Tuna" call which state home?

Answer: Texas

It's between San Angelo and Hell, in west Texas; they mention trips to Lubbock and Amarillo, and the owner of the diner hails from Midland. It's referred to as "the third smallest town in Texas".
2. Which two actors bring the inhabitants of "Greater Tuna" to life?

Answer: Jaston Williams and Joe Sears

They've been pulling on women's clothing and cowboy boots for over 20 years, and are both co-authors of the plays. Ed Howard is co-author and director of the plays, Ken Huncovsky is the stage manager and sound designer, Root Choyce is stage manager for the newest play (in 2007) and designed lights for the original show. She is also female.
3. Which one of the following is not one of the "Tuna" shows?

Answer: Tuna Off the Hook

"Tuna Does Vegas" premiered in 2007; "Greater Tuna" is the original show. "Tuna Christmas" is a seasonal favorite.
4. Which one of the following characters is a spokesperson for the Greater Tuna Humane Society?

Answer: Petey Fisk

When you see Petey coming, be prepared to say "no" when he tries to pawn an abandoned animal off on you.
5. What product does Didi Snavely sell in her shop in "Greater Tuna"?

Answer: used weapons

Didi is the chain smoking woman with the gravelly voice who advertises on the local radio station. She wears a patched, transparent raincoat with multiple pockets. Her proposed solution to many problems includes a gun.
6. Vera Carp strives to make Tuna a better place through her activities with a local organization. What is the name of this group?

Answer: Smut Snatchers

Vera's cat-eye glasses and platinum hair disguise a truly vicious character. The full name of the group is the Smut-Snatchers of the New Order, which was started by the Reverend.
7. What is the name of the diner in Tuna?

Answer: Tastee Kreme

The waitresses are Inita Goodwin and Helen Bedd.
8. Bertha Bumiller has an aunt who also lives in Tuna. Which of these characters is blessed to have Bertha as a niece?

Answer: Pearl Burras

Aunt Pearl certainly gets in her share of scrapes. Pearl and Bertha are played by the same actor, so they are never seen together. Vera and Bertha snipe at each other frequently, despite both being members of the Smut-Snatchers. Charlene is Bertha's daughter.
9. What music is most commonly heard from the radio station, OKKK?

Answer: Patsy Cline

Arles Struvie plays the same Patsy Cline records over and over. In "Tuna Does Vegas," Thurston takes over the station and plays 70s disco instead, much to the chagrin of those left in town.
10. Who is the manager of the radio station OKKK in "Tuna"?

Answer: Leonard Childers

Childers wears white bucks and a helmet of gray hair. Thurston and Arles are the announcers. Joe Bob is the local theater director.
