In "New Moon", when Alice comes to visit Bella after she sees the vision of Bella jumping off the cliff, she stays for a few days. She does research on herself, using the information Bella accidentally uncovered for her the previous year, and discovers that her name was Mary Alice Brandon, and that she had a sister named Cynthia.
