When the Gunslinger arrives at the town he rests his mule. Later the mule dies and his eyes are eaten by Zoltan the raven.

Answer: False

Roland in fact used the jawbone that he found under the way station, not a collar bone.

Of course, he was also in "The Stand", as the Walking Dude.
