The opening paragraphs of "The Gunslinger" are amongst my favorite tale-starters ever.

It's referred to in the scene where Roland first enters the town.

Answer: Roger Falidor

He used the guise of Rudin Filaro when he killed Cuthbert on Jericho Hill. Randall Flagg was his most common name, used in "The Stand" and numerous other novels. Bill Hinch was an alias he used in the kingdom of Delain and can be found in "The Eyes of the Dragon."

4. Which of these exclamations was not uttered by the lobstrosities in book two?

"Dad-a-chee" can be found later on on the series (Example: "Dad-a-chum, dad-a-chee, Not to worry, you have the key" from "The Waste Lands."), but it is never said by any of the lobstrosities.

Answer: Mir

Mir means terror in the language of the forest dwellers.

It is mentioned several times in the last book, one example of which is in the epilogue of volume seven, where Susannah thinks to herself, "It was Edward Cantor Dean, no doubt about it."
