1. Who is the protagonist of the story?

Answer: Eragon

Eragon is the main character in the story "Eragon." Brom is the typical crazy/angry old man, Saphira, is his dragon, and Harry Potter is not even in "Eragon" at all. If you picked Harry Potter, I hope you were being sarcastic.

2. What was the name of Garrow's wife?

Answer: Miriam

Garrow's wife, Miriam, died, and we are never introduced to her, but we do get her name. Katrina is Sloan's daughter and the woman Roran wants to marry. Arya is an elf, and Ismira is Sloan's (also) dead wife.

3. What was Brom's cure for a hangover?

Answer: Hot tea, ice water, and brandy

He and Eragon drank hot tea, ice water, and washed it down with copious amounts of brandy. We are told this when Eragon and Brom are in Dras-Leona, the night after they drink heavily at the Green Chesnut.

4. Name one of the two elves in "Du Silbena Datia."

Answer: Nuada

The two elves were Nauda and Acallamh. This was the poem that Brom recited to Eragon about the sea.

His name was Brand. Brom is quite saddened that Brand is an honest man, who won't take bribes, even pretty substantial ones.

His name was Torkenbrand. Murtagh beheads him, but Eragon was against the idea of his doing so, and gets quite mad at him for doing so. Brand was the administrator of trade in Tierm, Murtagh was the sun of Morzan, and Carn isn't in "Eragon" at all.

Answer: Unconquerable

It means unconquerable. I don't recall where exactly it was in the book, but I saw it in the index, so I used it.

9. Where does the Sethir plant grow?

Answer: An island

It grows on a small island in the frigid northern seas. Brom tells us this after they find the Sethir oil. He says that many jewelers use Sethir oil to cut gemstones.

10. When Brom breaks into Eragon's mind to tell him the Ra'zac they were following were airborne, what was Eragon concentrating on?

Answer: Saphira's scale

He concentrated on Saphira's scale. This happens right when Eragon and Brom lose the tracks of the Ra'zac and find the Sethir oil.
