Danny is at his mother's house in Bloomington, New Jersey. Jim is in West Virginia and has to travel hundreds of miles to reach his son.

Answer: They are intelligent, speak, make plans and carry them out.

The bodies of the dead become inhabited by creatures from the void, who call themselves Siqqusim, and reanimate them. As long as the brain is intact, a dead body is inhabitable.

The lion turns to attack Frankie as she tries to escape, but she pulls the door open, gets out and traps the lion inside when the door closes.
