1. Hank Aaron retired with what team?

Answer: Milwaukee Brewers

21 of his 23 seasons saw Hank in a Braves' uniform, both from Milwaukee and Atlanta. In 1975 he went to the Brewers of the American League, and then retired after the 1976 season. All but 22 of his 755 home runs, were hit as a Brave.
2. Al Kaline played his entire career with what team?

Answer: Detroit Tigers

The others listed, had not existed for 50 years when Kaline was a rookie. Al began his career as an 18 year old from Baltimore, Maryland. Other than winning 10 Gold Gloves, Kaline never won any major award. He was runner-up to a season MVP twice. He hit 2 home runs in the 1968 victorious World Series. He retired in 1974 with 399 home runs.
3. How many Cy Young Awards, did Ozzie Smith win between 1990-1999?

Answer: 0

Ozzie never pitched a day in his life, and the 'Cy' is awarded to the most outstanding pitcher in a season. This 15 time all-star, and 13 time Gold Glove winner, played shortstop for the Padres for 4 seasons, then for 15 seasons with the St.Louis Cardinals. Smith was the runner-up MVP for the 1987 season, to Andre Dawson.

Answer: There was no Series

None of the other teams existed in 1900. The first World Series was played in 1903, where the Boston Pilgrims/Americans defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Answer: Walter Alston

The others listed, managed for at least 4 different teams, and had less than 2000 career wins. Alston managed the Brooklyn, then Los Angeles Dodgers from 1954-1976, when an illness made him step down, and be replaced by Tom Lasorda. He was victorious with the Dodgers in the World Series in 1955, 1959, 1963, and 1965.

His only playing day was in 1936 at the age of 24, with only one at-bat with the Cardinals, when he struck out. He died in 1984.
6. What 2003 franchise was once known as the 'Naps', 'Bronchos', and 'Blues'?

Answer: Cleveland Indians

The franchise began in 1901 in the new American League. They were the Blues in 1901, and then changed their name to the Bronchos in 1902. 1903-1914, Major League baseball saw them as the Naps. In 1915 they became the Cleveland Indians. In 1920, the Indians experienced their first World Series crown.
7. What National League team did the San Francisco Giants defeat in the NLCS, to earn a trip to the World Series in 2002?

Answer: St.Louis Cardinals

With the Twins and Tigers being in the American League, and Milwaukee finishing last in the NL Central Division, this left the Cardinals to face the Giants in the NLCS. The Giants beat the Cardinals 4 games to 1, then lost to the Angels in the World Series.
8. How many of his 389 career home runs, did Johnny Bench hit for the St.Louis Cardinals?

Answer: 0

Bench was one of those loyal one-team players. He played from 1967-1983, all in a Reds' uniform. From the 1968 Rookie of the Year, to 2 season MVP's, a World Series MVP, 10 Gold Gloves, and being an all-star 14 times, Bench did it all. He was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame, and most deservingly, in 1989.
9. What player was nicknamed 'Baby Bull'?

Answer: Orlando Cepeda

Cepeda was a bull, and played for 17 seasons, mostly in the National League with the Giants. He smacked 379 home runs, and retired in 1974.
10. What team had an escalator accident following a game on July 2, 2003, which injured 36 fans?

Answer: Colorado Rockies

The escalator apparently shifted to a higher speed, causing spectators to tumble on top of each other at the bottom. A month earlier, 6 Rockies' fans were hurt when one of the 6 escalators just stopped abruptly. No injuries were life threatening.
