Answer: Hank and Tommie Aaron

Hank was most famous for his 755 career home runs, breaking the immortal career record of the great Babe Ruth when he hit number 715 in April 1974. Hank played for the Braves from 1954-1974, then retired after two seasons with the Brewers in 1976. Tommie played his entire seven seasons with the Braves, retiring in 1971 while hitting only 13 home runs. Hank was five years older than his brother Tommie. Tommie died just after his 45th birthday in 1984.

2. Which three brothers were San Francisco Giant teammates, and were the first in history to all share the outfield at the same time in a game?

Answer: Felipe, Jesus, and Matty Alou

Felipe was the older of the three, then Matty, then Jesus. The three all hooked up on the Giants roster in 1963. Felipe, the father of another Major League great, Moises Alou, was the only Alou brother to also wear the manager's hat. After hanging up his glove in 1974, Felipe took the reins of the Montreal Expos for 10 seasons.

He also came back to San Francisco to manage the Giants from 2003-2006.

3. Who were the first brothers both inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame?

Answer: Lloyd and Paul Waner

Both Lloyd and Paul shared the Pittsburgh Pirate outfield together from 1927-1940. Paul was three years older than brother Lloyd and nicknamed "Big Poison". Lloyd took on the nickname of "Little Poison". Big brother Paul won the NL MVP in 1927 while the Bronx Bombers and Babe Ruth were stealing the spotlight from everyone, and defeated the Pirates in that World Series. Paul was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1952, while Lloyd had to wait until 1967 to be immortalized. Lloyd watched Paul die in 1965, while Lloyd himself died in 1982.

4. Although this Hall of Fame great must have been proud for having the third highest batting average in all the 20th century, he must have been prouder to see his son Dick play in the National League, then later his son Dave play in the American League. Who was this father and 1922 American League MVP?

Answer: George Sisler

George's greatness was hidden for 12 seasons while playing for the dismal St. Louis Browns. He played a total of 15 seasons and retired in 1930. George's biggest batting season was in 1922 when he hit .420 for the Browns' club. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1939, the fourth year of inductions.

His son Dick played mostly for the Cardinals and Phillies from 1946-1953, winning one World Series in two chances. Dave made it as a pitcher and played his career from 1956-1962, never making a World Series appearance.

5. He was the first son who ever played for his managing father on the same Major League team. He also later managed that same team. His father played for 11 seasons in his career, while he played in only three. His father managed for over 40 seasons while the son managed in only two. Who was this father/son combination?

Answer: Connie and Earle Mack

Connie is most legendary for managing the Philadelphia Athletics for 50 seasons from 1901-1950, but was also the player/manager for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1894-1896. Prior to all that he played in another eight seasons. Earle played for the his father and the Athletics in 1910, 1911, and 1914, but things didn't work out well as he played in only five total games. Earle shared the managerial duties with Connie for the 1937 and 1939 seasons. Connie died at age 93 in February 1956, while Earle died 11 years later at the age of 77.

6. Who were the first pitching brothers to both throw an official no-hitter in the history of Major League Baseball?

Answer: Bob and Ken Forsch

Bob Forsch played in his Major League career for 16 seasons from 1974-1989, 15 in a Cardinal uniform. Bob threw two no-hitters as a Cardinal, a 1978 gem against the Phillies, then another in 1983 against the Expos. Bob was the younger brother of Ken who pitched mostly for the Astros in his 16 seasons, and threw his no-no in 1979. Both starters, Ken had a career record of 114-113, while brother Bob was 168-136. Bob died on November 4, 2011, after throwing out the Game 7 World Series first pitch a week earlier.

7. The decade of the 1990s saw only one set of pitching brothers face each other from the mound in the same game. The older was a Los Angeles Dodgers while his younger brother was a Montreal Expo. Who were these pitching brothers?

Answer: Pedro and Ramon Martinez

Both born in the Dominican Republic, Ramon was three years older than Pedro. They faced each other on August 29, 1996. The game saw Ramon and his Dodgers defeat the Expos 2-1. Ramon pitched for 14 seasons with a 135-88 record, while Pedro out-pitched his brother in 18 seasons with a 219-100 record. Pedro was a Cy Young winner three times, and finished runner-up twice. Ramon was a Cy Young runner-up once.

8. This family of brothers must have started their lives in a giant glove instead of a baby crib. There were a total of five to have all played in big league baseball, and were the first name in history to roster five. Which family was this?

Answer: Delahanty

The Delahanty's playing days spanned from 1888-1915. They were, in order of age, Ed, Tom, Joe, Jim, and Frank. Ed was the most famous with his batting over .400 three times and winning two home run crowns. His life came to a mysterious and never solved ending in 1903 when he was found dead at the base of Niagara Falls in Ontario. Ed was the only Delahanty brother ever elected into the Hall of Fame.

9. I was a proud father. In addition to pitching with the great Walter Johnson of the Washington Senators, both my sons later won a batting title each in the National League. Who am I?

Answer: Dixie Walker

The pitching father was Dixie Walker, who pitched alongside Walter Johnson on the Senators from 1909-1912. His first son, Dixie, played 18 seasons mostly with the Dodgers. He won his batting crown in 1944 by batting .357.
Harry was six years younger than brother Dixie, and played most of his career with the Cardinals, winning his NL batting title in 1947 with his .363 average.

10. While the great Cy Young retired with 511 career wins in early baseball, which two pitching brothers combined for a total of 539 wins?

Answer: Joe and Phil Niekro

Phil was Joe's elder by five years. It was Phil who took the family highlights by winning 318 games versus Joe's 221. Joe was the runner-up Cy Young winner in 1979 with the Astros, taking a backseat to Bruce Sutter of the Cubs. Phil never won the Cy Young either, finishing second to Tom Seaver of the Mets in 1969. Phil was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1997.
