Chicago hit 236 during the season, with Jermaine Dye hitting 44 of those. The White Sox had five sluggers hit 20+ in the season. On the other side of the coin, the Kansas City Royals led all teams with the least amount hit with 124. The Royals did not have a batter hit more than 18.
2. The New York Mets led the National League in most steals during the season. Which team forgot to use their legs and finished last in steals in the league?

The Mets stole a league-leading 146, with Jose Reyes leading them with 64, more than the entire Braves team that stole a measley 52 during the season.
3. Which Major League team had the worst attendance in the season?

4. The Washington Nationals led the majors in most intentional walks in the season by letting 93 pass. Which team was the stingiest by only allowing 18?

No team was close to the Nationals, and no team close to the Rangers either. Texas' Joaquin Benoit and Kevin Millwood gave up four each of the 18.
5. The National League had three teams in which their starting rotation had only one pitcher with a winning season. They were the Cubs, Pirates, and which other team?

Answer: Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers' only starter with a winning season was David Bush who went 12-11. All three teams were in the NL Central. In the American League, they had three teams also where their starting rotation did not come through. The Orioles, Devil Rays, and Mariners had only one with a winning record for the season also.
6. In the American League in 2006, the Indians, White Sox, and Tigers all led the league by having four batters strike out more than 100 times in the season. Which of the following teams didn't have any?

Answer: Kansas City Royals

The Red Sox and Yankees had three sluggers reach the 100-strikeout mark, and the Athletics had two. Strangely enough, the Royals who had the second-worst record in the AL, didn't have any.
7. With even the pitchers being included, which National League team led the league with the highest batting average in the season?

9. Which team led the Major Leagues in losses by losing 101 games in the 2006 season?

Answer: Tampa Bay Devil Rays

The Royals were the only other team to reach the 100-loss plateau. Tampa Bay finished out the season with a 61-101 record. They were led by manager Joe Maddon. The Cubs had the worst record in the NL with 66-96.
10. Which team finished the most games back in their division in 2006?

Answer: Tampa Bay Devil Rays

The Rays finished an embarrassing 36 games behind their division winner New York Yankees. 2006 was the ninth season for the Tampa Bay franchise, and the season saw them finish last again, in eight of those nine seasons.
