Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Caesar, one of the passengers from flight 316, is in one of the rooms at the Hydra station, apparently searching for something. Ilana, another passenger on the same flight, enters the room. What has Caesar placed in his bag that he conceals from Ilana?

Answer: a shotgun

Ilana asks Caesar whether he has found anything useful or not. Caesar replies that he hasn't. Ilana says, "Then what'd you just put in your bag?" Caesar intends to keep the shotgun a secret, so he hands Ilana a flashlight, instead.
2. Previously, John had suffered a compound fracture after descending into the well, in order to turn the wheel. After successfully struggling to turn the wheel, where does John appear?

Answer: Tunisia

In a great deal of pain, John still manages to turn the wheel. John ends up in the Tunisian desert, in a great deal of torment. John spies a camera nearby and calls for help. Sometime later, he is whisked away to a hospital.
3. John is somewhat aggressively placed in the back of a truck and transported to a hospital. The doctor resets John's injured leg, but John is rendered unconscious by the severe pain. Who is at John's bedside when John regains consciousness?

Answer: Charles Widmore

John finally awakens and Charles Widmore is at his bedside. Widmore says, "It's nice to see you again, John." Further, Widmore wants to know if John was exiled. John says that he wasn't. Widmore suggests that John has returned to take the Oceanic survivors back to the island. John denies it, being suspicious. Widmore says, "I understand you lying to me. I do. But there's something you should know. All your friends who left the island? They've been back three years."
4. John is provided with a new identity and information concerning the location of the other survivors. Whom does John meet with first?

Answer: Sayid

In an effort to persuade the other survivors to return to the island with him, John intends to meet with each survivor, with the exception of one person. John finds Sayid in Santo Domingo. Sayid is adamant about not returning to the island. John informs Sayid as to where Sayid may find him, if Sayid changes his mind. Sayid tells John, "And if you change your mind, you're welcome to come back here and do some real good. Good-bye, John."
5. John, now known as Jeremy, travels to New York City. John wants to visit an old friend? Who is it?

Answer: Walt

After school, Walt sees John sitting in a wheelchair across the street. Walt goes over to greet John. Walt wants to know what happened to John? John replies, "I hurt my leg. You don't seem surprised to see me." Walt says, "I've been having dreams about you. You were on the island, wearing a suit, and there are people all around you. They wanted to hurt you, John." John smiles and says that he's glad they are only dreams.
6. John meets Hurley at the Santa Rosa Mental Institute. John is trying to convince Hurley that he should return to the island. During this conversation, Hurley becomes frantic and demands to go back inside the hospital. What unnerves Hurley?

Answer: the sight of Matthew Abaddon

Initially, Hurley thinks that he is talking to a dead John Locke, until someone standing nearby verifies that Hurley is indeed, talking to a real person. Hurley states that the other survivors are well settled and they are unlikely to return the island. Then Hurley spots Abaddon. John tries to assure Hurley by saying, "He's just driving me around. He's okay." Hurley quickly retreats and says, "That dude is far from okay. When I first got locked up in here, he showed up, claiming that he worked for Oceanic Air. He's evil! You should not be trusting that guy."
7. The next survivor that John visits lives in Los Angeles. John visits this person at their home. Who is it?

Answer: Kate

John visits with Kate in her home. Kate is also quite unyielding. She declares that the only reason John wanted to remain on the island is because John never loved anybody. "I think about you sometimes. I think about how desperate you were to stay on that Island. And then I realized... it was all because you didn't love anybody."
8. What is the name of John's long lost love?

Answer: Helen

John's former love interest is named Helen Norwood. John wants to find her. Abaddon is reluctant to take John to Helen. Finally, he relents and they go Helen's grave site. Abaddon tells John, "She died of a brain aneurysm. I'm very sorry, Mr. Locke."
9. After Abaddon is assassinated, John panics and drives away in hysteria. He crashes into a couple of cars and is taken to a hospital, only to find Jack sitting at his bedside. What does John say that startles Jack?

Answer: "Your father says hello."

Jack was very harsh with John, telling John that he isn't really important, but only a lonely old man. As Jack is leaving the room, John tells Jack that he met Christian Shephard. John explains, "A man...the man who told me to move the island...the man who told me how to bring you all back...he said to tell his son hello.

It couldn't have been Sayid's father, and it wasn't Hurley's, so that leaves you. He said his name was Christian." Jack is taken aback and replies, "He died in Australia three years ago. I put him in the coffin! He's dead." John makes a desperate plea for Jack's help, but Jack, with a great deal of emotion, tells John to leave them all alone and quickly leaves.
10. Does John commit suicide?

Answer: No

John makes preparations to hang himself. John writes a suicide note, addressed to Jack. He makes a noose out of cord, wraps it around his neck and stands on a table. Just as John is about to jump off the table, Ben breaks into the room and persuades John to continue his quest to gather the survivors.

However, when Ben hears the name Eloise Hawking, Ben strangles John with the same cord. Ben cleans up the room and says, "I'll miss you, John. I really will."
