In the previous episode, Amanda told Peter that their marriage was over since he was spending too much time with Taylor. She packed up his things, in boxes, and gave them to Michael, in this episode. Michael wondered if she was extending a peace offering, to him, but she said they were Peter's since she kicked him out. Michael urged Amanda to talk to Peter but she said it would not work.

In Samantha's first scene, she went up to Sydney's apartment door and knocked on it to talk to her about Sydney auctioning off one of Samantha's paintings. Samantha asked Sydney to give her some of the money she got, from selling the painting, but Sydney refused to give her a dime.

Michael went to work and entered his office and was surprised to see Kimberly there. He told her she should have made an appointment, since he did not like surprises, and Kimberly gave him papers that finalized their divorce. After he left, it was Allison, not Matt, who told Jake she thought he believed in marriage. Allison hinted that she wanted to marry Jake but he told her they were not discussing marriage.

Amanda told Craig she appreciated his invite but she was already invited to Kyle's birthday party and she would attend that event.
