Corcoran made a guest starring appearance in this episode as Abigail Spencer. This was the only episode of the series in which Corcoran played a role. She has also guest starred on the TV series', "Young Lions", "Windfall" and "House Gang."

Taheny, born on September 13th, 1961 in San Francisco, California guest starred as Moira in this episode. She played Moira for just this one episode but it was in an earlier episode of "Lost" where she played a gate attendant. She has also starred in the film, "Dark Clouds."

The episode began with Desmond asking multiple people where he could find Efron Salonga but nobody gave him an answer so he kept looking by himself. He entered a hut and asked the people there if they knew where Efron was so one of the gentlemen introduced himself as Efron Salonga. Desmond asked Efron to come with him so he could help his friend.

Desmond told Efron that his girlfriend, Penelope, was pregnant and having a baby so he needed Efron, who was a doctor, to help her. He took Efron to his boat where Penelope moaned and he warned him that there was a lot of blood. Efron entered the boat and instructed Penelope to push, as she was in labor. Efron delivered the baby and told Penelope that she had a baby boy.

Near the beginning of the episode, Desmond and Miles were leading a bunch of people through the jungle so Desmond asked where Sawyer told them to meet. Miles said that Sawyer wanted everyone at the creek and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, that is where everyone should be. They all eventually made it to the creek but Sawyer and his men were not there.

While en route to the creek, Daniel asked Charlotte how her headache was and she mentioned it got worse. She also said that, since they were running for their lives, her headache was the least of her worries. Daniel asked her if she had dizziness or double vision, to which Charlotte informed him that she had both.

Desmond recalled when he made a promise to Daniel that he would locate his mother at Oxford, as that is where he said she was last seen. In one scene, he spoke to Penelope on his boat about how he was sure he needed to fulfill this promise and made it sound simple. According to Desmond, he needed to find Daniel's mother and tell her he was still on the island. Desmond also mentioned to Penelope the time when Daniel said that Desmond had to tell everyone they were in danger and he was the only one who could save them.

In Locke, Sawyer and Juliet's first scene, they captured two of the men who attacked them in the previous episode with arrows lit on fire. They started talking about going down to the beach where the other survivors would meet them and it was during their talk that the two men conversed with each other in Latin. Juliet also knew Latin and spoke to them.

When Locke asked her what language they were speaking, she mentioned it was Latin since Latin was a language The Others used to communicate to one another.

As Juliet was a member of The Others, that was how she knew to speak the language.

When Desmond went to Oxford, he got the address to the home of a woman who Daniel Faraday performed experiments on so he went there. When he rang the doorbell, the woman who opened the door identified herself as Abigail Spencer. Abigail's sister was Theresa, Daniel's girlfriend.

When Desmond mentioned Daniel's name, Abigail invited him into the home so she could show him something. Desmond saw the woman bedridden and in terrible health.

In one scene in a flashback, Desmond went to go see Charles Widmore to find out where he could locate Daniel's mother.
