Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Janeway ordered the destruction of the Caretaker's array in order to save what species?

Answer: Ocampa

The Caretaker's species was responsible for the destruction of the Ocampa's atmosphere. So the Caretaker was assigned to care for the Ocampa in their underground caverns. When the Caretaker died, the Kazon threatened to use the array in order to gain access to the Ocampa - hurting and exploiting them. Janeway destroyed the array to prevent that.
2. Kazon sect that Jabin was Maje of.

Answer: Ogla

Jabin was the man that Neelix said could help find Harry and B'Elanna in "Caretaker." But it seemed that Neelix was really more interested in rescuing Kes, who had been taken captive by Jabin.
3. What type of food did Tom want to eat when he was in the prison in the episode "The Chute"?

Answer: Onion rings

Inside 'the chute', the prisoners basically had to fend for themselves. Oskoids is the Betazed delicacy that has 'sap running through the veins' to help keep them warm.
4. In the episode "Renaissance Man," the Doctor and Janeway were in a shuttle together. What type of music was the Doctor singing while piloting the Delta Flyer?

Answer: Opera

As always, the Doctor loves opera. However, on this particular occasion, the captain had only been asleep for 15 minutes when his singing woke her up. Needless to say, Janeway was not amused.
5. What disease proved to be a clue in finding out that Seska was, in fact, not Bajoran?

Answer: Orkett's

Orkett's disease afflicted many in the Bajoran camps during the Cardassian occupation. Seska claimed that she had contracted the disease as a child and was told never to donate blood. However, when the Doctor scanned her, he found that she had none of the properties associated with someone who had contracted the disease.

The crew then found out that Seska had been a Cardassian spy attempting to infiltrate the Maquis. Poor Chakotay replied, upon hearing the news, with something like "Tuvok was a Federation spy. Seska was a Cardassian spy. Wasn't anyone working for me?"
6. Who was Annorax's second in the episodes "Year of Hell"?

Answer: Obrist

Obrist started out following Annorax's orders, but after contact with Chakotay and Tom, he became increasingly aware that the Krenim ship was committing genocide. Eventually, he helped Chakotay and Tom 'sabotage' the Krenim vessel in order to allow Janeway to ultimately restore the timeline.
7. Everyone knows about Flotter and his friend Trevis. But what was the name of the entity that burned down the Forest of Forever?

Answer: Ogre of Fire

When Naomi Wildman's mother was missing, Naomi and Neelix played on the holodeck. Unfortunately, Naomi decided to play the chapter of "Flotter" with the Ogre of Fire. The Ogre burned down the forest and made Naomi sad.
8. The mystery of astronaut John Kelly's death is solved in this episode.

Answer: One Small Step

Kelly's ship, the Ares IV, is lost inan energy mass. Back in the Delta Quadrant, Voyager finds the energy mass and Chakotay becomes determined to retrieve his ship. At least Kelly died just as he realized that there was other intelligent life in the universe - a fact he was unable to communicate to Earth.
9. What sort of symbol popped up on all of the monitors randomly, and only Janeway and Seven knew what it meant?

Answer: Omega

The Omega molecule was banned in the Federation and even allowed a captain to violate the all-mighty Prime Directive in order to destroy it. However, out in the Delta Quadrant, when the ship detected the molecule, Janeway was forced to go on a suicide mission in order to destroy it.

But luckily for her, the crew intervened and worked with her, ultimately destroying the molecule (which happened to be the solution to a planet's energy problems).
10. What was the name of the Borg drone that was created in a transporter malfunction?

Answer: One

One was created using some of Seven's nanoprobes and the Doctor's mobile emitter. Because he used technology from the mobile emitter, he was very advanced and eventually sacrificed himself to prevent the advanced technology from being assimilated by the Borg.
