Big Brother's Vegetables Trivia Quiz

I dislike "Big Brother" intensely. That doesn't mean that I can't create a quiz on the series. Sadly, the 2006 housemates are some of the most vacant creatures on Earth. So what do you recall of their cringe-worthy acts in the first 40 days?

Question 1 of 10
1. Anyone who has even seen the briefest clip of the seventh series of "Big Brother" can't have failed to notice Nikki. This shrill, gobby little girl does very little within the house but complain. She throws tantrums, she makes a scene, and she then turns her attention to aggravating Big Brother. But which of these is not one of the things that Nikki has screamed in the Diary Room? Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. Glyn, the North-Wales-wonder who has problems speaking in any language and a wit as sharp as a marble, has also been making waves in the House. After forsaking his A-levels to go into the House, this mere teenager has been swapping tongues with everyone he can get his hands on. One of the more famous moments was his out-of-key singing in the shower. What song was he butchering while washing? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. Dawn, who was one of the few tolerable housemates, was only actually in the House for a few days. After spreading her smell about the place and refusing to shower, she was promptly thrown out of the House for breaking the rules. What did she actually do? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. Richard and Grace notoriously disliked each other. Richard being the leader of one clique and Grace the leader of the other, Grace was evicted fourth, but not before violating the new housemate Susie in a highly humiliating way. What did Grace do to Suzie? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. Of course, Sezer wasn't much better. This "geezer" was thrown out of the house at the beginning of the third week, joining the equally uninspiring Bonnie who was evicted the week before. The amusing thing is that Sezer actually collected over 91% of the votes.

Question 6 of 10
6. You may have noticed how loud Lisa was. You didn't even have to watch the show to know how loud she was, you could hear her a mile away. The self-proclaimed "loud Chinese girl" was evicted in Week 5 after being drawn up against three of the other housemates who proved more popular than her. Lisa was also a chain smoker, but to what did she attribute her sudden lack of cigarettes in the beginning of week four? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Can we talk about Sam for a minute? Shortly after Sam and Aisleyne entered the House, Sam was deemed to be one of the most irritating people that the housemates had ever met. Sam followed them into the bathroom. Sam would pop up in their face just as they were trying to get to sleep. Sam even managed to ruin countless moments of romance in the "Big Brother" bedroom. But what was Sam's big secret? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. You can't forget Shahbaz, however much you want to. As the first person to leave the "Big Brother" House, the only impression he made was one of cloying neediness. On Day 4, however, Shahbaz's antics were the straw that broke the camel's back. What did he do to take his approval rating in the house to an all-time low? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. Imogen, you may have noticed, also came with a strong Welsh accent in tow. As a fluent speaker of Welsh, Imogen found that she and Glyn could have some very interesting conversations. Well, slightly less boring conversations, anyway. But why were Imogen and Glyn reprimanded for speaking Welsh in the House? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. Lea, the resident plastic-fantastic, is actually the only housemate that didn't make me want to vomit. She may have had enough plastic surgery to make Joan Rivers blush, but she's meek and doesn't really like anyone. A woman after my own heart. And of course, she's friendly with Richard, the Big Brother foreigner for this year. So moving from the vegetables to the fruit, which fruit did Richard and Lea have a play-fight with, resulting in a screaming fit from the rather shrill Nikki? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

Answer: "Imogen's bikini makes me want to VOMIT!"

So yes, Nikki is a whining attention seeker who feels the need to regurgitate everything to Big Brother. After being nominated three times, Nikki spilt her guts in the Diary Room about Susie's vote, and shortly after, she appeared in the Diary Room barely dressed complaining about the air conditioning.

It was only about eight or nine degrees, apparently. Of course, after her outburst about Pete's Tourette's syndrome, the two quickly became close, but rumours abounded about her game play...

Answer: "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" by Arctic Monkeys

This wasn't the only song that Glyn has butchered in the House. No sir, there have been many others. Many, many others. This, however, was the most famous as it was the most televised. He's so bad, in fact, that Nikki has even requested an album of his wonderful voice. High praise indeed.
3. Dawn, who was one of the few tolerable housemates, was only actually in the House for a few days. After spreading her smell about the place and refusing to shower, she was promptly thrown out of the House for breaking the rules. What did she actually do?

Answer: Contacted the outside world.

Dawn was a sneaky one. Or not, as the case may be. She did get caught after all. Dawn had formulated a code, and had told her family to message her, telling her that her sister was ill, if there was any negative stories in the press about Dawn. There wasn't time for any negative press to form, however, as Dawn was out of the House by Day 8.
4. Richard and Grace notoriously disliked each other. Richard being the leader of one clique and Grace the leader of the other, Grace was evicted fourth, but not before violating the new housemate Susie in a highly humiliating way. What did Grace do to Suzie?

Answer: Threw water over her.

A controversial parting shot by Grace, but the vindictive acts didn't stop there. As Aisleyne came to a shocked Susie's defence, she was told to shut up by both Grace and Mikey, and was even called a moose by the evictee. Some people have no decorum.
5. Of course, Sezer wasn't much better. This "geezer" was thrown out of the house at the beginning of the third week, joining the equally uninspiring Bonnie who was evicted the week before. The amusing thing is that Sezer actually collected over 91% of the votes.

Answer: True

Sezer, the incredibly self-sure and almost arrogant property developer, was the second housemate to be thrown out, and not a moment too soon. His arrogance came to light the night before the eviction, when he became so convinced of his own brilliance that he claimed to Imogen that he would win. That wasn't going to happen, clearly.

Answer: All of these. She had a lot of things to blame her chain smoking on.

In Week Five, four housemates were punished for talking about the evictions, and as such, each of the four had to pick one of their fellow rule-breakers to be evicted. Nikki bore the brunt of this process, and during the regular weekly evictions, Lisa, Mikey, and Imogen were all put up for eviction. Lisa's lack of nicotine could have easily contributed to her eviction, as in Grace's words, she was "like... Godzilla!"

Answer: She was actually a he - he was transgendered.

Sam deemed his childhood in Indonesia to be the happiest time of his life. Unfortunately, his time in the house was nowhere near as idylic. Shortly after entering, he became a figure of hate for the public and the people in the House, and was soon evicted (Week 3). Oh well.

Answer: He hid all of the food in a box in the garden. Subsequently, everything got wet.

And so on Day 6, we waved goodbye to the shrieking Glaswegian Kylie Minogue fan. In the end, it all came down to a blazing row between him and Lisa about the wasting of milk, and after a long talk with Big Brother, he opted to leave. Well, it took him long enough.

This whole fiasco followed Shahbaz's food hiding antics, which happened on Day 4. When the housemates awoke on Day 5 to find their food wet in the yard, Lea was quick to jump to his defence, but soon wished she had kept her mouth shut when Shahbaz admitted to his act.

Answer: They were talking about nominations, among other things.

Glyn and Imogen had managed to find a way to talk about evictions and the others that they thought no one would ever decipher. Unfortunately for them, Big Brother were swift to hire a Welsh translator, and Glyn and Imogen were forced to nominate one of their friends to be evicted in Week 5.

This, of course, was the first time Imogen had been allowed to vote in the house. She can't keep her mouth shut.

Answer: Bananas

And so Nikki makes another appearance, hamming it up for the cameras. After she had finished her rant, Richard laughed in her face and wandered off with Lea, leaving an infuriated Nikki cradling her battered banana. While moaning to a glazed-over Imogen, Richard appeared and offered to eat the bruised fruit. Needless to say, Nikki wasn't happy.
And so there we have the vegetables, and indeed, the fruit of the first five weeks of "Big Brother" series seven.
