John Goodman played Dan Conner, husband to Roseanne and father to their four children. Near the end of season 8 of the show, Dan suffered a heart attack at his daughter's wedding. Subsequent episodes showed Dan recovering from his heart attack, and the family winning the lottery.

The series finale, however, explained that Dan actually died as a result of his heart attack. The entire last season of the show was an alternate reality dreamed up by Roseanne. This was in the original run of the series.

Shockingly, Sybil passed away shortly afterwards.

Kathryn Joosten played the role of personal secretary and advisor to President Bartlett during the first two seasons of "The West Wing." After purchasing her first ever new car, she was driving it to the White House to show the President. She was hit by a drunk driver in Dupont Circle and died as a result.

Lieutenant Colonel Henry Blake is a surgeon from Bloomington, Indiana, and the commanding officer of MASH 4077. He was played by McLean Stevenson. At the end of the third season, Blake was discharged from the Army and sent home. As the rest of the surgeons were working in the OR, they were informed that the plane carrying Colonel Blake had been shot down and there were no survivors.

In one of the best kept TV secrets of 2014, "The Good Wife's" Will Gardner dies. The on-again and off-again love interest of main character Alicia Florrick, Gardner is a lawyer who was played by Josh Charles. While arguing for a case in court, a former client shoots both Gardner and a prosecutor. Gardner later dies at the hospital.

Actress Kellie Martin appeared as medical student Lucy Knight in the 5th and 6th seasons of the hit show "ER." She was assigned to Dr. Carter, and the two had a complicated relationship. During a staff Valentine's Day party, a schizophrenic patient named Paul Sobricki is able to take a knife meant to cut a cake.

He stabs both Lucy Knight and Dr. Carter. Carter is seriously injured, but survives. Lucy Knight dies in surgery.

One of the founding members of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce on the AMC hit "Mad Men," Pryce runs into financial troubles. To fix these problems, he embezzles nearly $8,000 from the company. After his theft is discovered, he first tries to commit suicide in his car. When that fails, he returns to his office and hangs himself. His body is found by his partners.

Played by Drea DeMatteo, Adriana is the long-time girlfriend of Tony Soprano's protégé Christopher Moltisante.
