Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. For whom does Goku need to find the Roaming Lake?

Answer: Nam

Now finished with the World Martial Arts Tournament, Goku is told by Master Roshi that he will need to go out and train in real life, experiencing the world before returning for further training. Goku decides that it would be a good time to look for his grandfather's four-star Dragon Ball and sets out with Bulma's Bleeper, heading toward the desert.

Here, on his way, he meets up with Nam, one of his competitors, and helps him locate a mysterious roaming lake needed to help his people survive the intense drought.

The stop also includes a visit to former competitor Giran who, as it seems, doesn't harbour too much resentment towards the person who bested him in front of the world.
2. The first ball on the Dragon Radar turns out to be the six-star ball. Where is it actually hidden during this time?

Answer: In a bird nest

After fleeing from Goku's wrath, Emperor Pilaf and his henchman have resurfaced. Like Goku, they're out to get the Dragon Balls, knowing that they've reactivated. It's mere coincidence that Goku comes across them while looking for the four-star Dragon Ball in a small town...and at the same time that the Red Ribbon Army (led by Colonel Silver) is passing through, tearing things apart in their search.

A local shopkeeper ends up selling Pilaf the four-star ball to his great shock...on the same day he ends up selling another four-star ball to the Red Ribbon Army.

As it turns out, they're all fake balls, and the actual six-star ball is in a bird's nest on the roof of the shop, unbeknownst to the shopkeeper. The ball ends up in the hands of the Ox King when all is said and done, setting everyone on his and Chi-Chi's trail.
3. In which of these have Emperor Pilaf and his henchmen taken up hold?

Answer: A flying fortress

Emperor Pilaf and the Red Ribbon Army close in on the Ox King and Chi-Chi who, after the bird who possesses it brings it by, has the six-star Dragon Ball. Pilaf ends up getting away with the ball (oddly, being cooked inside the bird as it's prepared for Chi-Chi and Goku's spontaneous wedding meal) while Colonel Silver takes the Ox King captive. Goku is able to save Chi-Chi's father before everyone converges on Emperor Pilaf's flying fortress out in the desert and a battle ensues.

The Red Ribbon Army knocks the fortress out of the sky and Pilaf has no choice but to hand the six-star ball over to Silver after an intense chase through the bowels of the ship.
4. Searching for the five-star Dragon Ball, Goku finds it in the possession of which of these?

Answer: A monkey

Goku decides to search for a different Dragon Ball, following his radar into the woods and tracking it down. The search is marred by immense hunger and, while he tries to get a bit of food from the trees, he's intercepted by a monkey looking for more fruit.

When all is said and done, he ends up saving one of the monkeys, becoming their friend. Coincidentally, the five-star ball is in a nearby tree, and the monkeys dislodge it from the branches. When Colonel Silver and the Red Ribbon Army come through looking for the same ball, a chase ensues, sending the ball out of a monkey's grasp and into a river where Goku is the first to reach it.
5. Crashing into the northern mountains while searching for another Dragon Ball, Goku is rescued by a girl with what name?

Answer: Snow

Goku gets the five-star Dragon Ball, but Colonel Silver, recognizing Goku as a threat, manages to destroy the Flying Nimbus with his bazooka. Infuriated, Goku defeats Silver with minimal effort, taking his things and leaving with a few Dyno-Caps. One of the caps he finds contains a small Red Ribbon aircraft and another contains a robot to fly it, so he's able to depart to find another Dragon Ball without issue. ...unfortunately Goku heads northward to General White's position in the mountains, placing him into the crosshairs of another major figure in the Red Ribbon Army.

But that's not the biggest issue; the plane crashes in the cold, and Goku starts to freeze...until he's saved by a local girl named Snow who needs help saving her village chief from the army.
6. How many floors are in the Muscle Tower?

Answer: Six

Deciding to save Snow's village chief, Goku heads to General White's Muscle Tower, using his Power Pole to vault to the second floor right off the bat. What Goku doesn't know is that the tower is full of perils. The second floor contains lowly guards while the third pits him face to face with Major Metallitron, a hulking, robotic android guard who continues to attack Goku until he runs out of power. Goku, of course, overcomes this hurdle and makes it to the five ninja brothers, the Murasakis, on the fourth floor.

Inevitably, Goku finds the command room, and General White, on the sixth floor.
7. What nickname does Goku give to Android 8 in the Muscle Tower labyrinth?

Answer: Eighter

On his way up the Muscle Tower, Goku comes across Murasaki the Ninja in the fourth floor forest and, toward the end of the battle against him (and his four other ninja brothers), the last brother lets loose Android 8, a horrible robot monster who...actually...doesn't fight. Murasaki nearly has to detonate a bomb within the android to get it to fight, but Goku saves it by defeating the ninja once and for all. Android 8 later helps Goku through the building, taking them up to General White. Unfortunately, White is waiting for them; he sends them tumbling into a trapdoor to the fifth floor to face off against a creature known as Buyon, with the power to withstand the Kamehameha blast.

After all of this, it ends up being Android 8 (nicknamed 'Eighter') who defeats General White, knocking him out of the tower and saving the chief of Snow's village when Goku is too weak to continue fighting (and negotiating at length).
8. Who removes the powerful bomb hidden inside Android 8?

Answer: Dr. Flappe

Returning to the village, Goku and the chief discover that Eighter has actually been in possession of the hidden, two-star Dragon Ball the whole time, having taken it to protect the village and fool General White. Eighter wishes to stay with Snow's people, but can not do so with their bomb still not diffused, so the chief says that they should visit the local doctor, Flappe. Flappe is able to remove the bomb just in time for Goku to toss it towards the surviving Murasaki, who escaped the Muscle Tower for revenge. On his way out of the village, Goku's Bleeper ends up getting broken, but he's able to regain his Flying Nimbus.

The new plan? He has to fix the radar to find the other Dragon Balls.
9. Bulma is actually the daughter of the President of which important company?

Answer: Capsule Corp.

Goku, needing to get his Bleeper fixed, ends up heading back to West City to locate Bulma, the only person who could fix it (since she made it). To get there he considers walking, but someone informs him that his Flying Nimbus (despite being destroyed) can return; it can't be destroyed. Sure enough, this works. When Goku arrives he finds that the city is huge. Luckily, he is able to find Bulma, but not before getting into a street fight for a ton of money.

As Goku discovers, Bulma is actually the daughter of the president of Capsule Corp., known for making Dyna-Capsules.

She decides to come along with Goku and fixes the radar (by demonstrating her ability to shrink with the Microband) but, little to their knowledge, the Red Ribbon Army's General Black plans to steal the Dragon Balls.
10. The master thief, Hasky, plans to steal the Dragon Balls from Goku in which location?

Answer: The Dreamland amusement park

Getting together with Yamcha, Puar, and Oolong, Goku and Bulma celebrate with a trip to Dreamland. This is when General Black's henchman, Hasky, snags the two Dragon Balls from the group's possession. Flying off in an airship, the clever Hasky nearly gets away with the two Dragon Balls but Goku, of course, manages to catch up, stop the master thief from escaping AND detonating Dreamland (and killing everyone), and retrieve the Dragon Balls. Following this, Bulma vows to go along with Goku to find the other five and summon the Eternal Dragon.

In doing so, she also ends up breaking up with Yamcha, leaving him behind in West City with Puar and Oolong, mainly out of jealously.
