Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'Embarrassment' - Still in the pursuit of Kuze, the episode starts with him and Batou getting into a fight. Which of these injuries does Batou not sustain?

Answer: A gunshot

Both of these men are extremely strong and they are two of the best prosthetic users. Kuze first knocks Batou's gun out of his hand; they then get into a knife fight. Kuze breaks Batou's leg and pins him to the ground with a steel pipe, allowing for his escape. It isn't until Motoko arrives that Batou is able to get free.
2. 'Embarrassment' - What was in the cases that Kuze purchased?

Answer: Lead

He was trying to buy plutonium from the Russian mafia, but due to the fact that they had nothing to do with it and it was all staged by Ghoda, the cases were empty; containing only lead in the linings to weigh the cases down. Of course now that the refugees were thought to be in possession of plutonium this gave Ghoda enough reason to attack them.
3. 'Reversal Process' - A bomb has been placed in the Kyushu radio tower. Section 9 is trying to prove Ghoda is behind it. What is written on the bomb?

Answer: To Kyabuki with love

Like the box of eleven fingers, this is meant as another threat to Prime Minister Kyabuki. Section 9 is certain that Ghoda planted the bomb; although he is trying to make it look like it were the refugees using the plutonium they have supposedly just obtained.
4. 'Reversal Process' - Meanwhile Batou takes Ghoda onto the roof where The Individual Eleven committed mass suicide. What animals appeared on the roof, representing The Individual Eleven?

Answer: Crows

A large group of crows appear on the roof, all of them black except one that is white. This is a direct symbol to The Individual Eleven. They all wore black, except for Kuze, who wore all white.
5. 'Martial Law' - Even though they were ordered not to by Kuze, the refugees start fighting the SDA. Section 9 has a plan to solve it using the stolen plutonium. What do they intend to do?

Answer: Hand it over to the UN

Prime Minister Kyabuki has called in a UN inspection team, so Section 9 have the idea to carry the stolen plutonium into Dejima and then hand it over to the inspection team when they arrive, thus ending the fight.
6. 'Martial Law' - Motoko only takes half of the plutonium into Dejima. What does she do with the rest?

Answer: Gives it to Ishikawa

Motoko puts the rest of the plutonium in the pod of a tatchikoma and sends it to Ishikawa, who has not long since been in an explosion from a suicide bomber and this is why he is not going into Dejima with the others. Motoko gets Ishikawa to take it to a place called Spring-8.
7. Character Profile Borma: What is Borma's unique talent that he brings to Section 9?

Answer: Explosives expert

Borma has been around explosives for years, since the war years when he was planting them. He is so good at his job that he can tell what explosives have been used simply by looking at the site of the explosion.
8. Character Profile Borma: What prosthetic body part does Borma have that resembles that of another Section 9 member?

Answer: Batou's eyes

We don't know whether Borma was a ranger or not, but his eyes do resemble those of Batou. Although Borma's eyes have a red pupil whereas Batou's have none. These unique eyes allow Borma to see through the casings of bombs and the like. This is perfect when disarming them.
9. Character Profile Ishikawa: What is the unique talent Ishikawa brings to Section 9?

Answer: Hacking

Ishikawa is an accomplished hacker and he spends most of his time gathering information from the net. He rarely sees any action in the field. He is normally relaying any information he gathers to the team and working along side Aramaki.
10. Excluding Aramaki, Ishikawa is the oldest member of section 9?

Answer: True

We don't actually know the ages of any of the Section 9 team and due to prosthetics it would be impossible to guess; but we do know that Ishikawa is the eldest, excluding the Chief of course.
