"LOST" Little Details: "Do No Harm" Quiz

Sun says "Jack, his leg." Jack tells her he already knows and continues giving orders and working on Boone. The title of this episode is "Do No Harm", and it is derived from the Hippocratic Oath that doctors must take. "Primum non nocere" is the Latin version of the line in the oath and it means "First do no harm".

Answer: Scissors

He tells Sun to grab the scissors in the second drawer, but Sun is too shocked to move. He turns around and yells at her again to open the second drawer, and she finally springs into action.

Answer: An SUV

Sarah says that her tire blew out on the highway and while she was looking out onto oncoming traffic, an SUV hit her. Her back was broken and the doctors said it was irreparable, but Jack somehow managed to fix her. She then calls Jack her hero.

Answer: A week, maybe less

Claire happens by as Jin is working on the raft. She walks over to where Michael, Sawyer, and Walt are sitting and asks how long it will be until the raft is ready. Michael answers, "A week, maybe less".

Answer: 44

Sarah comes down as Jack is playing the piano and tells him that two girls are checking him out. He turns around to look at Sarah and notices she's in her pyjamas. The number 44 can be seen on the left hand side of her shirt. Later in the scene when she leaves, a bigger version of the numbers can be seen on the back, kind of like jersey numbers. Coincidentally, with the death of Boone in this episode, there are now 44 survivors on the island.

Answer: Heart and Soul

Sarah sits down at the piano with him and says, "Heart and Soul?" Jack agrees and Sarah tells him that she wants to play the easy part. They start to play, but Sarah soon messes up and they start to talk about their wedding vows instead.

Answer: O-negative

Jack and Sun learn that Boone's blood type is A-negative and Jack sends Sun out to find someone who has A-negative blood. Sun tells Charlie to ask people and Charlie comes back and tells Jack what he knows, saying that no one really knows what their blood type is. Jack then says he'll have to settle for O-negative blood. Charlie asks how he's going to find a person who's O-negative and Jack motions to himself, and says that O-negative is the universal blood type, but that it might still cause Boone to go into anaphylactic shock.

There are four basic blood types, and they are A, B, AB, and O. Each can be either Rh negative or Rh positive. Like Jack said, O is the universal blood type; it can be given to anybody. Unfortunately, those who have the universal blood type, although they can donate blood to anyone, can only receive blood from another O person.

Answer: Goth

Hurley is sitting outside the tented area when Jack steps out. He sees Jack coming toward him and asks him if he's okay and tells him that he's looking kind of goth. Jack ignores this and asks Hurley if he's seen Michael. Hurley says that Michael is probably on the beach, and Jack instructs Hurley to go get him.

Answer: "Don't tell me what I can't do"

Jack wants to amputate Boone's leg in a desperate attempt to save him. Sun freaks out when she realizes Jack's intentions and tells Jack that he knows Boone is bleeding internally and that cutting his leg off won't help. Jack insists that losing the leg is Boone's best chance for survival, and when Sun continues to say he shouldn't do it, Jack yells at her, "Don't tell me what I can't do!".

This exact line was spoken by Locke in the early episode "Walkabout" when the tour guide for the Australian walkabout Locke had signed up for told him he couldn't attend due to his paralysis.

Answer: Locke

Locke does not appear in this episode. At the end of the previous episode we see him bent over the hatch when the light comes on, but even though this episode continues from the last one he doesn't come around, nor does anybody go out looking for him until the end of the episode when Jack goes.

As of this episode, the main cast is down to 13 characters, however, it is possible that Boone might return in future episodes as part of Shannon's flashbacks.
