Paulo replies, "Listen, hillbilly, if you want it that bad, take it." Inexplicably, Sawyer is moved by the fact that Paulo is holding a roll of DHARMA Initiative toilet paper. He says, "Just keep it."

In a particularly poignant moment, Sayid confesses to remembering Amira's face. "I remember you. I remember your face. Your face has haunted me ever since I left Iraq." As Sayid cries in anguish and remorse, he says, "I am sorry. I am so sorry for what I did to you. I am sorry."

Answer: Yes

Surprisingly, Locke discovers the winning combination, that unlocks a variety of combinations. Once Locke unlocks the winning combinations, our mysterious Dr. Candle, (Pierre Chang) appears and describes the numerical sequences required to activate a variety of protocols.

Ms. Klugh suddenly appears. She speaks in Russian to Mikhail. She has no qualms about sacrificing her own life. She tells Mikhail to assassinate her. Mikhail tries to persuade her otherwise. Nevertheless, Mikhail accedes to Ms. Klugh's exclamations, and kills her.

Having won the game, the computer switches to a default protocol, which allows, the user to initiate any of a number of other options. Dr. Candle appears, listing the options, as to how to proceed.

John enters the code, "77," into the computer, perhaps, not really understanding what the full effect of his command would accomplish. As Locke catches up to the rest of the group, Locke tells Sayid, "Actually I just played that silly chess game again." Locke tells, Mikhail, "I can see why you didn't want me to beat it." After this is said, the station explodes.
