Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. While on an airplane, Jack demands to have more to drink. Instead, what does the stewardess give him?

Answer: A newspaper

The episode starts showing us Jack, with beard and moustache, in an airplane, holding a small glass. When the stewardess passes by, the doctor asks her to bring him some more alcohol to drink, but she refuses, arguing that the plane is about to land. Instead, Jack receives a newspaper.

Despite his initial lack of interest, Jack soon finds an article that doesn't only catch his attention, but also affects him greatly. A very shocked Jack is later seeing driving through a bridge, trying to make a call. Since nobody answers, the doctor stops the vehicle, gets out of it and climbs up onto the ledge of the bridge. Visibly shaken, Jack is ready to jump when he hears a thunderous noise: a car just crashed nearby. Putting aside his initial intentions of committing suicide, Jack quickly rushes to save anyone he can.
2. While discussing with Rose about his decision of staying behind as a shooter, Bernard is literally forced to say: "I am a dentist, I am not _______."

Answer: Rambo

There is great anxiety in the beach, since the moment of parting has finally come. Sayid, Bernard and Jin will stay behind, ready to put an end to the "others" plan, while Jack and Rousseau will lead the survivors to the radio tower, in hope of finding rescue. Before saying farewell, Sayid tells Jack not to turn around, no matter what happens. Also, Jin and Sun have an emotional parting while Rose forces her husband to say: "I am a dentist, I am not Rambo", since she doesn't want him to go beyond his limits.

After this, the survivors start moving. After some hours of walking, Naomi goes to Jack and teaches him how to use her radio, just in case something happens to her. When the night finally comes, the survivors decide to stop and, from a distance, try to get a glimpse of the confrontation that is about to be held in the beach
3. Whom does Ben send to the Looking Glass after discovering Charlie is in there?

Answer: Mikhail

In the Looking Glass, the two women capture Charlie and, after tying him up to a chair, start interrogating him. Since the man is unwilling to reveal anything, the blonde (named Bonnie) quickly loses her temper and starts pounding him in the face. After a while, however, Charlie tells them that Juliet was the one that revealed the position of the Looking Glass and that he dove into the station with the purpose of turning off the jamming device, so that his friends can send a distress call and hopefully find rescue. Charlie even gets to the point of telling them that the Looking Glass will soon be flooded and they will all die. Bonnie and Greta (the brunette) start getting nervous, so they opt to call Ben.

This revelation also gets Ben very anxious, so he immediately orders Mikhail to dive into the station. Bakunin is quite surprised, since Ben told everyone that the station was flooded and inoperable, but he chooses not to discuss and immediately rushes to the beach.
4. Which of the three shooters fail to blow the dynamite?

Answer: Jin

In the middle of the night, the "others", led by Pryce and Tom, finally arrive and, without delay, start looking through the tents. Nonetheless, they soon discover that nobody is in the camp and the tents are full of dynamite. Unfortunately for them, their reaction is not quick enough. Realizing the moment has come, Sayid, Bernard and Jin shoot the tents.

The first two manage to fulfill their task, but Jin misses the target and is eventually discovered. Seeing himself forced to improvise, Jin attacks the "others" directly and manages to kill two of them.

However, in the end, he is captured by Pryce. After watching this, Bernard tries to run while Sayid attempts to shoot Pryce from the distance, but both men are eventually captured and made prisoners.
5. Who visits Jack while he is having his head stitched up in the hospital?

Answer: Sarah

After saving a woman and a kid from the accident, Jack is also taken to the hospital. A nurse is stitching up his head when suddenly a visibly pregnant Sarah arrives. After noticing Jack is all right, the woman asks him whether he has been drinking lately. Jack denies this and then asks Sarah if she can give him a ride.

The woman tells him that it would be inappropriate and then leaves. Some time later, Jack is checking the condition of the woman he saved when the new chief of surgery, Dr. Hamill, arrives. Jack asks him if he can perform the surgery on the woman but Hamill refuses. Consternated, Jack leaves and, on his way off, he runs into the little kid whom he saved from the car.
6. How many "others" do the three shooters manage to kill before being captured, as revealed by Tom?

Answer: 7

After tying up Sayid, Jin and Bernard, Tom contacts Ben and tells him everything, including how seven of them were killed. Ben, however, seems more concerned about the fact that almost every survivor is gone. So, in order to uncover the whole truth, Ben orders Pryce to kill Jin.

However, before he can do it, Bernard decides to talk. Initially, Ben is confused, since it is unlikely the survivors can find anything important in the radio tower, but once Bernard tells them about Naomi, Ben understand everything.

The last thing he orders Tom is to keep the three prisoners alive and then, at first light in the morning, he leaves the camp, accompanied by Alex, who is extremely worried about the fate of her boyfriend Karl.
7. Why does Desmond see himself forced to dive into the Looking Glass?

Answer: Mikhail starts shooting at him from the beach

Desmond wakes up after a long while and finds himself completely alone in the boat. The man, however, doesn't have time to evaluate the situation as a very determined Mikhail shows up and starts shooting at him from the beach. With no option, Desmond grabs the cable and uses it to dive to the Looking Glass. Just like Charlie, Desmond manages to reach the station and, once he is informed that there are two highly aggressive women living in the place, he quickly hides in a locker. Sometime later, Mikhail shows up.

Despite being surprised with the fact that Greta and Bonnie were not in Canada but working on a station that was supposed to be flooded, Mikhail decides to put his personal affairs aside and get some answers from Charlie by the means of force.

However, Charlie manages to buy some time by telling Mikhail that Ben has been using the station to block all signals coming from the island. This revelation leaves Mikhail deeply confused so, as soon as Ben tries to contact the station, he decides to confront his leader once and for all.
8. Whom does Ben order Mikhail to kill?

Answer: Greta, Bonnie and Charlie

After ordering Richard to take the "others" to an unknown position called the "temple", Ben leaves, accompanied by Alex. After some time, Ben attempts to contact the Looking Glass but, instead of talking to Greta or Bonnie, he encounters a very angry Mikhail. Luckily for him, Ben manages to convince Mikhail that everything he has done so far has been under Jacob's request and for the benefit of the island. Once the situation is under control, Ben tells him to keep the station working at all costs and that, in order to keep the status of the Looking Glass a secret from everyone else, he will need to kill Greta, Bonnie and Charlie.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Mikhail accepts this new task.
9. Which people decide to abandon the trek and go back to the beach?

Answer: Sawyer, Juliet and Hurley

During a brief stop for rest, Kate tells Sawyer that they should come back to the beach and see if their friends are safe. The latter initially refuses but he eventually agrees, although he doesn't want Kate to accompany him. Juliet then tells him that she knows where a secret stash of guns is located (this statement turned out to be a lie, which Juliet orchestrated in order to get the permission she needed for going back to the beach) and she is willing to take him there.

After saying farewell, the two start making their way back and are soon joined by Hurley. Sawyer, however, tells him that his presence would only spoil the mission, so he is not allowed to follow them.
10. The end of the first part of this episode shows us a character we hadn't seen in a long while. Who is this character?

Answer: Walt

After being shot by Ben and left in the mass grave to die, Locke realizes that there is nothing else he can do to survive, so he grabs a gun that was nearby and decides to commit suicide. However, before he can pull the trigger, he hears a voice that tells him not to. Locke looks up and sees Walt standing right outside of the mass grave.

The boy tells him that he needs to get up immediately. Locke argues that he can't move his legs anymore but Walt pays no attention to this, as it is vital that he leaves the mass grave. John asks him why, to which the boy replies with a mysterious: "You have work to do".
