Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Everyone working at the practice was getting tired of Sam and Naomi's struggle for power, so they locked the two of them in a conference room and told them to work it out. Sam and Naomi came to a decision; what was it?

Answer: The other doctors should vote for a leader

Sam and Naomi decided that they wouldn't be able to choose, and they thought that the others should take a vote. Addison though that voting was a bad idea, because one of them would end up with hurt feelings. Most of the others weren't too enthusiastic about the idea either, especially when Sam and Naomi spent the rest of the episode campaigning for votes (i.e. harassing their colleagues).
2. A worried mother brought her child in to see Cooper. She was afraid that her son might be autistic because he stopped communicating, and was encouraged that Cooper wanted to help them. However, she later changed her mind and didn't want Cooper seeing her son; why not?

Answer: She had seen Cooper's profile on a dating site

After the mother had originally told Cooper that she'd like him to treat her son Raiden, she came back very angry. She had recognized Cooper from a profile on the dating sites he used before he got together with Charlotte. The mother decided that using dating sites was too perverted and inappropriate for a pediatrician.

She told Cooper to stay away from her son, even after Cooper pointed out that she herself must have been on a dating site if she saw his profile.
3. One of Addison's patients in this episode was a young Muslim girl, Sharbat. Why did she come to see Addison?

Answer: she needed to be re-virginized

Sharbat and her parents met with Addison, and told her that Sharbat had been raped. Addison was confused, and asked Sharbat if she wanted to meet with the practice's therapist instead. Sharbat told Addison the reason they had come to see her - she was arranged to be married to a man in Afghanistan, but before they would be allowed to marry, she would be checked to see if she was a virgin. Sharbat and her parents wanted Addison to surgically restore Sharbat's hymen to make her appear to be a virgin.
4. An old friend of Pete's came to town in this episode. What was the name of the character played by Jayne Brook?

Answer: Meg

Meg came to the Oceanside Wellness Group, walked right into the conference room and kissed Pete, leaving the others wondering who the heck she was. We found out a little later that she and Pete had done their residency together, and had worked in Doctors Without Borders together. Meg had just gotten back to the US from Nigeria and wanted to see Pete before heading to Ghana.
5. Where did Kevin want to take Addison for the weekend?

Answer: Cabo

Kevin told Addison that he had the whole weekend off, and wanted to take her to Cabo. Addison turned him down, though, telling him that she has "rules" now. She explained to him that going away went staying in a hotel, and staying in a hotel meant sex.

Her new set of dating rules that she set for herself included waiting before sleeping with a guy. In the case of Kevin, she waited as long as the end of this episode!
6. Did Cooper end up treating Raiden?

Answer: Yes

He really wanted to help Raiden, so he did a lot of research on what might be wrong with him other than autism, and brought it to Raiden's mother at their home. Raiden's mother was impressed with Cooper and brought Raiden in to see him again the next day. Cooper tried a medication on Raiden and he started talking again that afternoon.
7. What medical problem did Pete's friend have?

Answer: tick bite

After Pete and Meg had sex in his office, he noticed a big bite on her back. She said it was nothing, but then checked it for herself. She had Sam take a look at her, and he removed the tick from her back, saying that if she had waited longer, it might have led to an infection.
8. What book did Charlotte say is her favourite?

Answer: To Kill A Mockingbird

At the end of the episode, Cooper told Charlotte that he wanted them to talk and get to know each other instead of just always jumping into bed. She was reluctant, but listened to him talk about his childhood and about how working at a summer camp made him want to be a pediatrician.

When it was her turn, Charlotte told Cooper that she is from the same town in Alabama that Harper Lee, author of "To Kill A Mockingbird" was from, and that that happened to be her favourite book.
9. Did Addison do the surgery for Sharbat?

Answer: Yes

After running some tests and talking to Sharbat further, Addison found out that she had lied about being raped. Sharbat actually had a boyfriend in the States, but she wanted to break up with him and take her parents back to Afghanistan to live there.

She said that the only way they could do that would be if she could marry her well-off fiancé, and have him take care of her family. She also didn't want her father to find out that she had been having sex. Addison sympathized with Sharbat and did the surgery for her, even though she had lied.
10. Who did the doctors vote for as leader of the practice?

Answer: Addison

Right before the vote, Addison again expressed her displeasure about it, saying that the practice could not be run on popularity and that both Sam and Naomi brought good things to the practice that they could not do without. Addison decided to abstain from voting, but the others went ahead and did it.

The result of the vote was one vote each for Sam and Naomi (each having voted for themselves), and four votes for Addison, cast by Cooper, Violet, Pete and Dell.
