1. Arctic Air (2012-2014)

Answer: Northwest Territories

"Arctic Air" lasted for three seasons and 35 episodes. The series focuses on an independent airline in Yellowknife, NT. The cast of the series included the owners of the airline--Bobby Martin (Adam Beach) and the father and daughter Mel Ivarson (Kevin McNulty) and Krista Ivarson (Pascale Hutton). Each episode featured at least one flying mission.
2. The Beachcombers (1972-1990)

Answer: British Columbia

At 18 seasons and 387 episodes, "The Beachcombers" is one of the longest-running television series in Canadian television history. Set in and around Gibsons, BC, the series tells the story of log scalvagers. "The Beachcombers" starred Bruno Gerussi as Nick Adonidas and Pat John as Jesse Jim.

In its last two seasons, the series received a new theme song and was simply called "Beachcombers".
3. Black Harbour (1996-1999)

Answer: Nova Scotia

Set in Nova Scotia, "Black Harbour" ran for 39 episodes and three seasons. In the series, a restaurant owner returns to her hometown to care for her ailing mother. Rebecca Jenkins stars as Katherine Hubbard and Alex Carter stars as Paul Isler, her high school sweetheart. The program originally aired on the CBC.
4. Blackstone (2011-2015)

This political and crime drama was set in the fictional Blackstobe First Nations Drama, located in Alberta. The series lasted for five seasons and 39 episodes. The series had its first run on the Aboriginal People's Television Network and Showcase. Carmen Moore starred as newly elected Chief Leona Stiney and Eric Schweig starred as former Chief Andy Fraser.

The series was filmed in the Edmonton, AB area.
5. Emily of New Moon (1998-2000)

Based on the Lucy Maud Montgomery novel, "Emily of New Moon" ran for four seasons and 46 episodes. The series was set on New Moon Farm on Prince Edward Island. Martha Macissac starred as Emily Starr and Matthew McHattie starred as Jimmy Starr. The series focused on an orphan who went to live with her aunts after her father's death.
6. Less Than Kind (2008-2013)

Answer: Manitoba

"Less Than Kind" was set in Winnipeg, MB, and ran for four seasons and 48 episodes. Jesse Camacho starred as Sheldon Blecher and Maury Chakin and Wendel Meldrum starred as his parents. The family operated a driving school from their home. The title of the series comes from a line in "Hamlet".

The series won the 2009 and 2010 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Performance by a Television Ensemble.
7. Little Mosque on the Prairie (2008-2013)

Answer: Saskatchewan

Filmed in Ontario and Saskatchewan, the series was set in the fictional town of Mercy, Saskatchewan. "Little Mosque in the Prairie" ran for six seasons and 90 episodes. The cast of the comedy included Zaib Shaikh as Amaar Rashid and Carli Rota as Yasir Hamoudi. The series explores the interactions between the Muslim and non-Muslim residents of the town.
8. Paradise Falls (2001-2008)

Answer: Ontario

"Paradise Falls" lasted for three seasons and 104 episodes and was set in the vacation town of Muskoka, ON. The show featured a large cast that included Art Hindle as Pete Braga, mayor of the town. Like many soap operas, sex and romance were important themes in the show. The show was shot entirely on location.
9. Republic of Doyle (2010-2014)

Answer: Newfoundland and Labrador

"Republic of Doyle" ran for six seasons and 77 episodes. The show is set in St. John's, the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador. The comedy-drama focuses on a group of private investigators. The cast includes Allan Hawko as Jake Doyle and Sean McGinley as his father Malachy. The cases on the show sometimes involve dealings with the wrong side of the law.
10. Snow Job (1983-1985)

Answer: Quebec

Set at a ski lodge in Quebec, "Snow Job" ran for three seasons and 50 episodes. The comedy focus on the wacky hijinks of the ski lodge staff. The cast included Rummy Bishop as Bernard Graff and Liliane Clune as Gigi. As with many shows of the era, it featured a laugh track.
