Will is trying to use the phone to call a radio station to win tickets to see Joni Mitchell in concert but Jack is usung the phone and refuses to hang up. Will yess at Jack to get off the phone, Jack yells back, "No, you get off the phone!" Will then tells him to hang up, Jack says, "No, you hang up!" Will then says, "You are such a child." Jack says, "Nuh-uh! You're the child." Will then tells Jack to give him the phone but Jack doesn't. Will then says it's his phone and Jack says, "It's my apartment." Will says, "It is not your apartment!" Jack then says, "Between 10:00 and 5:00 it is. You know the deal." Will says, "That deal only exists in your head."

After Grace tricks Jack into taking his mind off of the phone, Will grabs it. Jack then says, "This call better be important. I was talking Rory through a very tragic body wax that nearly cost him a teat." Grace tells him, "It is important. It is Joni Mitchell. And if we are the 105th caller, we win front row seats."

While Will is trying to get through to the radio station, Grace says, "Oh, God, please just give me this one thing and I will dedicate myself completely to thee. Ok, maybe not completely, because, you know, I have a life. But trust me. I will make it so worth your while. Really, God, if you think about it, it's win-win." After Will wins the tickets, Jack asks Grace, "So, now what are you gonna do, Grace? Huh? You made a promise to the big girl upstairs." Grace is confused and Jack tells her, "I'm talking about the Lord. You don't want to mess with the almighty, Grace. You don't want to go to hell. You know what heat and sulfur does to your hair." Grace says, "Stop it! I have every intention of keeping my promise." She then tells Will she's going to do something for charity and he tells her, "Grace, this is not about miracles or divine intervention. Okay? I had the skill to be the 105th caller. No, I'm not doing charity."

Jack and Karen are going through her closet picking out clothes to give to charity and as Karen begins taking things and putting them into a bag, she says, "Alright, well, let's just jump in. Okay. Here's a sweater. Here's a hat. Here's my arm! Here's my heart! I can't do this!" Jack then tells her, "Karen, of course you can do this." Karen says, "No, I can't. It's like giving away your own children. No, it's harder. You can always have another kid, but Hermes only made this print once!"

As she and Jack are raiding her closet to find things to give to charity, Karen says, "Every item has such sentimental value. I mean, take this dress. Stan gave it to me on our honeymoon. To this day, every time I wear it, he can't keep his hands off of me. Sayonara."

When Will and Grace are volunteering their time at the community center, she looks to see what they can do and says, "What have we got left? Oh, our community bazaar is this weekend, and there is an opening on the entertainment committee." Grace says, "Oh, that's perfect! Will and I, when we were in college, we had this little improv group, "The Zanys." Sister Robert then says, "Okay. I think I should tell you, you won't be doing the entertaining." Grace replies, "Really? Well, we'll see."

Rosario stands by while Karen is getting dressed and complaining about Jack cleaning out her closet. When Rosario tells Karen her outfit isn't right, Karen says, "What do you know about fashion?" Rosario tells her, "You are packed in there tighter than a blood sausage." Karen then says, "Hey, you washed up on the shore of this country in an inner tube wearing a banana leaf and a couple of coconuts." Rosario says, "Listen, lady, I flew here on business class with my "Aadvantage" miles. Now, take it off so I can clean it and burn it."

Grace is helping Megan read the story they are doing a play on and Will asks her what she's doing and she says, "I was just giving Megan here some notes on her performance." Megan then says, "I'm gonna be the narrator." Grace laughs but gives her a dirty look and Will says, "Grace, you're the narrator." Grace says, "I know that. You know, I just think that we all should have an understudy. You know, with the flu going..." Megan interrupts her and says, "She's going to Joni Mitchell." Will then says, "What? Come here. You drag me into this, and now you're going to Joni Mitchell? I got the tickets. If anyone should be going to Joni Mitchell, it's me!"

Karen and Jack go to St. Mary's to find her shoes that Jack donated and when she is looking through the barrel of shoes, she finds one of them and a homeless lady finds the other. Karen maker her an offer and they negotiate until they get to five and Karen begins to count, "$100, $200, $300..." The homeless lady then says, "Oh, I can't wait. Five whole dollars." Karen then says, "Right. Yeah, five whole dollars. You drive a hard bargain. Okay." She then hands her a $5 bill and says, "I don't know how that got in there, but here you go, honey." The homeless lady then says, "Wow! $5.

This is my lucky day!" Karen then says, "Uh, Crazy? Make it your lucky year." She then hands her a few hundred dollar bills. Jack tells Karen he saw what she did and she says he didn't see anything.

He starts chanting, "Karen has a heart, Karen has a heart." Karen says, "Oh, alright. I don't even know why I did it. Maybe it's like it says in the Bible, I felt bad because I had no shoes, but then I met someone who had really bad shoes."

After the play, Will tells the kids how great their performances were and says, "Flawless. Flawless. Broccoli, Carrot, Radish, fantastic. Onion...you brought a tear to my eye. Alright, everybody go and say hi to your parents. You were great. Good job." He then asks Grace what made her leave the concert and she says, "Well, you know, I was just sitting there trying to enjoy the concert, but all I kept thinking about were the kids and their bright little faces, and I was asked to leave the concert for singing too loud."
