Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these songs is not unlocked in Story Mode EX?

Answer: Choir on the Greens

"Choir on the Greens" is bought in the shop in the first world. Although you can't buy it during your first time through the game, you can buy it anytime after. The song "Choir on the Greens" is a part of the folk song "Ah, Lovely Meadow".
The rest of these songs ("Ms. Mowz's Song", "Moustache, Barrel, and Gorilla" and "Midnight Drive") all take the places of songs from Story Mode. Each is from a different Mario game, and you unlock them by completing them in Story Mode EX.
2. In which song can you stomp on Goombas in Mush Mode?

Answer: Jump! Jump! Jump!

"Jump! Jump! Jump!" is a song originally from "Super Mario Bros. 3" for NES, and it features Koopa at Normal stage and up, and Goombas at Very Hard stage and up. The song is very cheerful and quick, and it's also the first song of the second world (both in Story Mode and Story Mode EX).
In "Frozen Pipes", you need to watch out for Spinies on the Very Hard stage and up, and Cheep Cheeps from Normal stage.
In "Hop, Mario" and "Up, Down, Left, Right", all you need to worry about are your dance moves. Mush Mode isn't available for these two.
3. What song do you need to dance to in order to obtain the Green Music Key? (Hint: The Green Music Key is the second one you obtain.)

Answer: Blooper Bop

"Blooper Bop" was originally from the original "Super Mario Bros." for NES. The song is slow compared to the others, so all you need to worry about are the Bloopers and Big Blooper tentacles which pop up in Mush or Story Mode. You may recognize this song from many more games. Why? It's used in many underwater levels throughout the "Mario" series.
4. In one play of Story Mode (or Story Mode EX), how many times do you dance on the SS Brass?

Answer: Twice

Regardless of whether you play Story Mode or Story Mode EX, you'll be dancing to the song "Always Smiling" in world 5. In stages Normal and up, you'll dodge Bullet Bills, and in Very Hard and up, there'll be Spinies to avoid.
The song on the SS Brass which precedes "Always Smiling" is either "Into the Whirlpool" or "Step by Step" depending on which Story Mode you're playing. Since the question specifically asked about one play through a Story Mode, only one is added into the final answer.
"Into the Whirlpool" is a version of "Pomp and Circumstance" (which everyone knows as the graduation song) and you avoid Spinies in Normal stage and up.
"Step by Step" is from "Super Mario World" (SNES) and once again, Spinies are on Normal stage and up.
5. What is the name of the song that is played when you fight Bowser?

Answer: Bowser's Castle

Yikes! This may be one of the most difficult songs in the game. Apart from a weird beat, the moves get chaotic after a while, and in Normal stage and up, you can collect rocket pieces to shoot at Bowser. Three pieces per rocket. The song is from "Mario Kart: Double Dash" for the Gamecube, and it's the last song in Story Mode (EX).
6. Which song is not unlocked after buying it in a shop?

Answer: Pirate Dance

The three songs which can be bought from a Lakitu shop are only in stock if you have completed Story Mode at least once. The one not found in a shop is "Pirate Dance" which is found in World 2 in Story Mode EX. Although it isn't bought in a Lakitu shop, you dance against a Lakitu to get it. "Pirate Dance" is from "Super Mario World" (SNES).

In Story Mode, the song that goes in "Pirate Dance's" place is "Fishing Frenzy" from "Csiko's Post". Both have Cheep-Cheeps in their Mush Modes, and upon completing both, the Lakitu will give you the booster engine to enter the whirlpool.
7. In Story Mode EX, what is the final song in the fourth world?

Answer: Midnight Drive

While taking sleds down the mountain in the end of World 4, Toad and Mario are chased by an avalanche. In order to make it down the mountain in one piece, you need to dance!
"Midnight Drive" is from "Mario Kart 64" (N64), and in it, you need to avoid Ice Spinies on Normal stage and up as well as Goombas on Hard stage and up.
When you aren't in Story Mode EX, your normal song is "Rendezvous on Ice" from "Les Patineurs". It has the same Mush Mode as "Midnight Drive". After completing the dance, you can head back to World 1 and begin World 5.
8. Which song has Podoboos and Bob-ombs in its Mush Mode?

Answer: Starring Wario!

If you have Podoboos or Bob-ombs in your song, the Bob-ombs will be situated under the Dance meter, and you'll have to hit the Podoboos when you are told to to prevent the Bob-ombs from exploding and knocking a chunk off of your Dance Meter. The song featuring them, "Starring Wario!" is from "Wario World" (for Gamecube)
Other than "Starring Wario!", "Destruction Dance" has the same Mush Mode.
9. Which song is from "Dr. Mario" (NES)?

Answer: Deep Freeze

"Where's the Exit?" is from "Super Mario Bros." (NES), "Pipe Pop" is a bit of "Turkish March" by Mozart, and "Up, Down, Left, Right" is a remix of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". "Deep Freeze" is the song played when you fight the Giant Freezie on the top of the mountain in World 4. During the song, you must make sure that the Giant Freezie doesn't rise to the dance steps (like the Big Boo in "Boo Boogie") by hitting the Fire Flowers.
10. Which song is danced to in Truffle Towers?

Answer: Destruction Dance

The song, "Destruction Dance" is from the NES game "Wrecking Crew", and although it has an easy beat, it's not too easy when you're fending off Podoboos. In this dance, you battle Waluigi for the first Music Key, and after the battle Toad will tell you about the three other Music Key you need to find.
