Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many aspiration points does a Sim gain for having a baby (when it is wanted)?

Answer: 8000

Sometimes they both want and fear having a baby, which is funny. For having a baby when it's a fear they lose 5000 points, so they only gain 3000 if they want it AND fear it.
2. How many days is a toddler a toddler before they become a child?

Answer: Four Sim days

A baby is three days, a child is eight days, a teen is fifteen days, an adult is twenty-eight days, and an elder depends on whether they enter Elderhood happy or sad. However, in "The Sims 2 University", the teen life span can be cut short if you send a teen to College. They immediately grow into a Young Adult, and lose the rest of their teen life.
3. Which of these is NOT a Sim career?

Answer: Stand up comedian

By going to college and graduating, Sims can unlock new careers for you to choose, and it is easier for them to earn promotions. If a Sim gets a good degree from college, they start every career higher than the normal level. So for example, a career's first level could give $200 per day, whereas a graduate sim would start with maybe $1000 per day.
4. What is the 'Cowplant' used for?

Answer: All of these

They are Sim-eating plants that are rewards in the Natural Scientist career. Sims have to graduate from University to enter that career. If the cowplant it not fed and happy, it will tempt Sims (normally unlucky passers-by) with a little slice of birthday cake.

These Sims will make a grab for the cake, and will be promptly swallowed. The owner of the cowplant can then milk it, for a cup of that Sim. They will gain live extra days in their life.
5. Which of these can a Sim NOT become?

Answer: Frog

A zombie is created if a Sim has died, and then a relative atempts to bring them back to life using the Grim Reaper phone (with the paranormal career, again needs a university degree). However, if they pay the grim reaper any less than 10,000 simoleons, their loved one returns as a zombie.

A vampire can be created if a Sim makes friends with one. When they are good friends, the vampire may attempt to bite them. To make sure they get bitten, move in the vampire so you can control them to do it.
6. Which of these is a NPC (non-playable character) in the game?

Answer: Bug Exterminator

There are service NPCs that are very useful. Gardeners water and weed your plants, maids clean your house, and repairmen fix broken things such as a broken trash compactor. Trash compactors break down often.
7. What is the maximum number of sims able to live in a household?

Answer: Eight

However, there is a cheat to allow any number of Sims. Unfortunately, this slows down gameplay. Find out all cheats by pressing:
Ctrl+Shift+C and then typing 'help' into the box at the top of the screen. Press 'enter' and a list of cheats will come up, some more useful than others.
8. Who is the creator of the "Sims 2"?

Answer: Will Wright

Will Wright first created the 'toilet' seeing as there are so many interactions to go with it. "The Sims 2" however, started with a Fridge.
9. What happens when a Sim goes into aspiration failure?

Answer: They get visited by the Sims shrink

The shrink cheers them up a bit. The other Sims stand around putting their fingers to their heads and rotating the finger in a circular motion.
10. What does 'gurbits' mean?

Answer: Llamas

Llamas (or 'gurbits') are featured very much in the "University" expansion pack. This is because Will Wright, the creator, found the credits of a certain film ("Monty Python and the Holy Grail") very funny.
