1. Which of these characters is not playable in the campaign?

Answer: Victor Hoffman

Anya and Dom are playable from the beginning of the game. Bernie is only playable (by Player 3 in an online session) when Anya and Sam are pinned down by Locust just outside Anvil Gate.

2. Why do the Stranded hate the COG?

Answer: For sacrificing innocent lives

One year after E-Day, in the first effort to stop the Locust, the COG used Adam Fenix's (then) newest invention, the Hammer of Dawn, sacrificing millions of innocent lives in the process. This course of action led the Stranded to refer to COGs as fascist pigs.

3. What was the name of the island the COG moved to after sinking Jacinto?

Answer: Vectes

They moved to Vectes in the novel, "Jacinto's Remnant", and remained there through "Coalition's End". Azura was the name of the island where all of the surviving scientists were moved to after E-Day, and Pelruan was a town the COG inhabited before moving to Vectes.

4. Which of these isn't a Versus Mode?

Answer: Horde

Horde is a Survival game type. It has you (and up to four others) up against increasingly difficult waves of Lambent and Locust with a Boss (ranging anywhere from two Berserkers to a Brumak) every ten waves.

Answer: Dominic Santiago, Adam Fenix, and Queen Myrrah

Dom sacrifices himself when the team is surrounded by Locust and Lambent in Mercy. Adam Fenix dies when his machine goes off at the end, as he had injected himself with Imulsion to test its effects, and Myrrah dies shortly after, when Marcus stabs her with Dom's knife.

6. What do you get when you shoot into the four nearby pipes while playing as Marcus in Act 1, Chapter 2 of the campaign (after Prescott returns)?

Answer: A chicken

Yes. That's right. A chicken. It's as random as it gets. This chicken only appears by shooting into the four nearby pipes as Marcus after meeting Prescott in Chapter 2. It appears to be a normal chicken, but just shoot at it, and see what happens...

7. In Versus Mode, an easter egg in one of the maps is present. What easter egg is this, and what map is it on?

Answer: Checkout; Dancing Wretch

A Dancing Wretch. Yes, you read that right. That bit about the chicken has NOTHING on this. To see the Dancing Wretch on Checkout, one must find a fire alarm on fire, a fire extinguisher, a cane, and a top hat. Shouldn't be too hard, considering that you're in a supermarket.

8. Which character narrowly escapes death multiple times in the campaign?

Answer: Clayton Carmine

A few months before the game's release, a contest was held and two t-Shirts were being given out: A Carmine Must Die Shirt and a Carmine Must Live Shirt. These were also being sold as Avatar items over the Xbox Live Marketplace. Whichever one sold more would be Carmine's fate.

The Carmine Must Live shirt ended up selling more, and the result was several fake-outs in the campaign in which Carmine would narrowly escape death. The last one had his Raven being shot down in flames by Queen Myrrah. It is revealed in the ending cutscene that he survived.

9. How many Campaign Chapters are there in total?

Answer: Thirty

There thirty Campaign chapters available to play through split up into five acts. Act 1 focused on the aftermath of the novel, "Coalition's End". The second Act focuses on the Locust (kind of) struggling to survive after the the flooding of the Nexus. Acts 3 & 4 focus on getting the fuel for a submarine to get to Azura, where Marcus' father is being held. Act 5 is focused on finishing the Locust for good.

10. How many Collectibles are there?

Answer: Fifty-seven

There are fifty-seven Collectibles in total to be found throughout the game's five Acts. Fifteen are COG Tags and forty-two are other Collectibles that actually give you something to look at.
