1. What's the subtitle for Chapter 8?

Answer: The Thousand-Year Door

The world beyond the Thousand-Year Door is the Palace of Shadow, which is a dark and unwelcoming place. It's packed with enemies, so you'd better be tough if you want to survive.

2. Which of these enemies will you not find in the Palace of Shadow?

Answer: Red Chomp

Red Chomps can only be found in Glitzville. However, in the Palace of Shadow, there are some plain Chain Chomps, which are actually more powerful than Red Chomps.

3. In one of the rooms, you fight a Dark Bones. How much HP does it have?

Answer: 20

Pretty high, eh? It has all the attacks that a Dry Bones has, and has the same attack level. The only difference is it's health. In battle, it'll be surrounded by four Dry Bones, so take them out first, then start on the Dark Bones.

4. What do you get after defeating Gloomtail?

Answer: Star Key

Gloomtail is the brother of Hooktail, and he has 80 HP. With an attack level of 8, he is one of the most powerful bosses in the game. Beware of his attacks, some of them take away over 10 HP!

5. You fight the Shadow Sirens in Chapter 8 and new member has joined them. Who is it?

Answer: Doopliss

Yes, the annoying ghost is back, now a member of the Shadow Sirens. In battle he isn't very hard compared to Marilyn and Beldam, but try to take him out quickly.

These pesky little things are quite agitating, because four of them make Grodus invincible and they also attack you. Use a move like Gale Force or Multibounce to get rid of them.

When you fought Bowser in Glitzville (Chapter 3), he only had 30 HP. This time he's back, and now he has 70 HP! To make things worse, his assistant Kammy Koopa is there to help him and has 50 HP, so you have to defeat her too! My advice would be to go all out on him, using strong attacks such as Supernova and Spring Jump.

8. How much HP does the Shadow Queen have?

Answer: 150 HP

The battle with her can be extremely long. She also has some very strong attacks, one of them can even take away 14 HP! The best thing to do is to try and guard her attacks, and have a lot of Ultra Shrooms with you to keep you going.

9. How much HP do each of the Shadow Queen's hands have?

Answer: 5 HP

These hands are very irritating. One of their moves consists of stealing 7 HP from you and giving it to the Shadow Queen. This is one of the main reasons why the fight with the Shadow Queen takes so long.

Answer: False

He isn't killed, but his fate is almost as bad. The Shadow Queen zaps him into a ball when he tries ordering her to kill Mario.
