So I'm mostly creating this to see what teams everyone cheers for, whether it be Major League, Minor, Frontier, College, High School, you kid's team, or anything else you can think of. Also creating this to discuss the MLB season so far and predictions for the end of the season.

So I'm a Reds fan. They're my favorite team with my favorite players. I do have mixed loyalties though, which make things a bit complicated. I'm from Ohio and we have two MLB teams, a AAA team, and quite a few other minor league teams thrown in.

Being from Central Ohio I grew up a Columbus Clippers fan. When I was a kid they were affiliated with the NY Yankees, but I don't like the Yankees because my family hails from Boston. Because we're Bostonians I also can't root for the Cleveland Indians, which is the Clippers's current MLB affiliated team...Being a Clippers fan though, I can't cheer for the Louisville Bats, the Red's AAA affiliate, so I'm really all messed up... :) I do cheer for 1 Yankee, 1 Indian, and 1 Bat, however, to screw things up even more....oh, and 1 Chicago Cub.

Overall, this season, feeling very good about the Reds, and feeling very sorry for the Houston Astros...who I'm pretty sure are now guaranteed a losing season :(

So how about you all?

I only started enjoying baseball last year. I watch the Tigers mostly, but I'll watch any professional team. I guess you could say that I enjoy watching baseball more than supporting any particular team.

The Braves are rolling this year. It is such a change to see them scoring runs and this without McCann at all and Freeman playing only a week.

What a great send-off to a real class act, Mariano Rivera, during last night's otherwise yawner of an All-Star Game.

It was actually a good game, but then again, I enjoy pitching and defense. You know? The things needed to win a championship?

The World Series produces a championship...the all-snore game is nothing more than a glorified exhibition game-IMO

The paper said that if we're lucky, the Rockies may win 85 games if we have no injuries and things go well. Really? You're best hope is to break .500? I'm getting the sinking feeling that we'll be saying "There's always next year" sometime in May. Oh well, I love watching them play.
Go Rockies!

R.I.P. Tony Gwynn. He died today of cancer. I believe he was 54.
A great hitter, and a class act.

I'm saddened by the news that Bob Bailey, one of the great Montreal Expos of the early years, has died. He was 75.

My Tigers don't have a losing record! (I won't be able to say that for too long this season, sadly)
