Sutherland, Donald
once. Both Donald and Kiefer appeared in the 1996 film, "A Time to Kill", which was based on the novel by John Grisham. The movie also starred Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Spacey and Oliver Platt. It's original release date in the U.S. was on July 24, 1996.
Hollis Hurlbutt. Donald provided the voice of the character, Hollis Hurlbut, in the 16th episode of the seventh season of "The Simpsons", "Lisa the Iconoclast", which originally aired in the U.S. on February 18, 1996.
Col. Mikhail Fetisov. Although Donald has played each of the roles given as choices, it was his role as Col. Mikhail Fetisov in the TV movie, "Citizen X", earned him an Emmy in the category Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Special and a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for TV. "Citizen X" is based on the true story of the Russian serial killer, Andrei Chikatilo, (played by Jeffrey DeMunn). It also starred Stephen Rae as Lt. Viktor Burakov and Max von Sydow as Dr. Alexandr Bukhanovsky. Donald played the role of Maj. Gen. Donald McClintock in 1995's "Outbreak", the role of Gen. Pierre G.T. Buauregard in 1999's made for TV movie, "The Hunley" and the role of U.N. Secretary General Douglas Thomas in 2000's "The Art of War".

Donald met his future second wife, Shirley Douglas, when they were filming the movie, "Castle of the Living Dead". They were married in 1966 and divorced in 1971. Donald met his future third wife, Francine Racette, on the set of "Alien Thunder. They have been married since 1972.
Canada. Donald McNichol Sutherland was born on July 17, 1935, in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada to Frederick and Dorothy Sutherland, but was raised in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
