 Luann
Puddles. Luann's dog was given his adorable name because of all the accidents he made as a puppy. Unfortunately, Puddles still makes the same mistakes that helped him be named. Puddles is Luann's confidante, and best friend. She tells Puddles secrets that she doesn't tell anyone.
TJ. Brad and TJ decided to become paramedics together, although TJ backed out of it because he didn't think could save someone.
DeGroot. Luann's last name is Dutch in origin.
Claudia. Aaron and Claudia broke up after she caught him with Tiffany.
Miata. She requested it as a Christmas gift.

Stuart. Luann and Stuart got along great. She liked him and he liked her, but he only liked her as a friend. Luann was devasted when she found out Stuart was married.
t. Aaorn goes to Maine every summer. This was one of the ways he was able to get away from Luann when she found out that he and Diane were seeing each other.
Hodgkin's Lymphoma. "Luann" creator, Greg Evans, received a lot of mail about this topic. Most felt it wasn't a topic that should have been discussed in a comic strip. However, many fans of the strip felt it was a positive outlook on the deadly disease, and were in favor of the topic.
The Sweetheart Dance. Luann waited a long time for Aaron to ask her to the Sweetheart Dance. She was thrilled when he finally did. If Aaron didn't ask her, Luann would have gone to the dance with Gunther Berger.
Miguel. Luann met him at the mall, when he caught the man who stole Delta's purse. When Delta became seriously ill with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Miguel was there to help Delta, and eventually became her boyfriend.
Canine Companions For Independence Graduation. Bernice met Zane, a paraplegic, at Canine Companions For Independence Graduation. Bernice's puppy, Royce, was graduating and she met Zane and his canine companion, Monroe. The two work at Bookbinder's Book Store.
Arnold. When Aaron and Luann were trapped in the library, his father called Luann's parents to find out if they knew where the teens were. During the phone conversation, he told them his name was Arnold.
1985. Charles M. Schultz, creater of the "Peanuts" strip, wrote the introduction for the book!
Her father's Two Cousins. Her father, Frank, has two cousins named, Lu and Ann. He decided to name his daughter after both of his cousins.
