Black Apricorn. Kurt would then make you a Heavy Ball, which captures a heavy Pokemon very well. Need I mention Snorlax is a whopping 1014 lbs?
Slowpoke. Although its gym leader, Bugsy, is 'The Walking Bug Pokemon Encyclopedia', having Slowpoke Well and an abundance of those comparatively cute Pokemon wins out.

Metapod vs. Metapod. Way back then, Ash only had Pikachu, Pidgeotto, and Metapod.
The Pokemon Center near Union Cave. Santos of Saturday is in Blackthorn, Tuscany of Tuesday is on Rt. 29, and Monica of Monday is just outside of Olivine. If you visit them on their day (they won't be there anytime else) they'll give you a gift!

Omanyte. 'Fossil' should have eliminated Unown from the lists of diehard (or just attentive) Pokemon fans. Then again, maybe they just knew from the start.
Jigglypuff. Then it writes on their faces!
Misty. In 'Pokemon I Chose You!' Ash needs the bike to rush injured Pikachu to a Pokemon center.
Dragon Rage. In the episode where they escape from the sunken ship. The Gyrados was evolved from James' Magikarp.
Farfetch'd. In the episode 'So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd.'
9. Yes, Brock is the oldest of ten children, and until he left with Ash and Misty, he had to care for all of them.
Alakazam. The original design for Alakazam included the six-pointed Star of David on its forehead, to the disgust of psychic Uri Geller, who was convinced that the abra, kadabra, alakazam line was created to mock him. The star was removed later, but still exists in Pokemon Green Version. It has also been suggested that the lightning bolts on Kadabra's chest symbolize the Nazi SS symbol used by German soliders during World War II. At least this gave him a break from bending spoons.
Jigglypuff. An odd rendition of Jigglypuff was featured on The Mayor's wristwatch. It's an appropriate cameo, considering the appearance of the main characters. {;)}

Jynx. According to its Silver version Pokedex data, Jynx speaks its own language similar to that of humans, but mainly communicates using body language.

Lorelei. Lorelei (after the Siren of Germanic Legend who went by the same name) was probably named for her beauty and for her love of creatures like Dugongs, which belong to the Sirenia family and were often mistaken for mermaids by weary sailors.

Rafflesia. the Rafflesia Arnoldi is the world's largest flower, growing to diameters of over three feet. It is a parasitic plant with no stem or leaves, it attaches itself to larger plants to survive. Also known as the Corpse Lily, so called because of the horrible rotting stench that it issues to attract flies for pollination. Vileplume's Japanese name is 'Rafuresia', derived from the flower's english name.
Rocket. Meowth learned to speak English to impress a spoiled cat he had fallen in love with. The first word he read was {'Rocket';} he claims that if that hadn't been his first word he might not have joined the Team Rocket organization later.

Scyther. Scyther, Pokemon Number 123, weighs 123.5 lbs.
Gengar. The first episode opens with a simulation of a Pokemon Game Boy battle between Gengar and Nidorino, which then transforms into a detailed battle scene. It was a great opening for the series.
