    Black and white. Collingwood have been wearing these colours since they joined the VFL/AFL in 1897. When Port Adelaide joined the AFL in 1997, they wanted Collingwood to change their colours when the two teams clashed. Needless to say, the historic team got their way and the new kids on the block were told what they were going to be wearing.

In 2007, what were the colours worn by the Brisbane Lions?
    Maroon, Blue and Gold. "We are the pride of Brisbane town, we wear maroon, blue and gold" are the opening lines of the Brisbane Lions theme song. The Brisbane Lions is a malgamation of the Fitzroy Lions and the Brisbane Bears. The two teams merged in 1996 when Fitzroy were going bankrupt.

What was the pattern of Geelong's alternate jumper in 1998 that was very unpopular amoungst its fans?
    Mainly dark blue with three white horizontal stripes. The jumpers were worn for Geelong's away games in 1998. The fans did not like them at all because they were nothing like the traditional jumper. Petitions were taken outside "Shell Stadium" (Geelong's home ground) to have the jumper disguarded. In 1999, a new away jumper was designed which was more faithful to the traditional jumper.

In 2006, the AFL made all clubs design an alternate jumper for games when two teams have a similar jumper. Which club refused to design a second jumper until they conceeded they would have to?
    Collingwood. Collingwood's President Eddie MacGuire tried to cover this up by stating that Collingwood were the first club to present an alternate uniform, but this was after much debating. It just happened that other clubs took more time to create an alternate jumper. In some cases, clubs came up with three or four designs and let their fans choose in a voting system.
