I grow on trees and I'm in a book.

    Leaf. Plants which lose their leaves in winter are called deciduous. Plants which keep their leaves are called evergreen. You turn over a leaf when you turn a page.

I'm for drinking lemonade and seeing out a window.
    Glass. Sand is a very important ingredient in glass.

I'm a US president and a shrub.
    Bush. The difference between a bush and a tree is size and height.

I'm a sport (hitting with big gloves) and a carton.
    Box. Carton is a very old word from the nineteenth century. It comes from the Italian cartone.

I'm the 'skin' of a tree and the sound of a dog.
    Bark. Young tree barks can be easily peeled, but as the tree gets older the bark gets very hard.

I grow on fingers/toes and I hold wood together.
    Nail. In the past there was a special trade called a nailer or a maker of nails.

I travel by plane and I am a small insect.
    Fly. Flies are often used as bait when fishing.

I'm the landside of a river and a place to save money.
    Bank. Public parks are often built on riverbanks in cities and towns.

I'm part of an elephant and I'm in the car.
    Trunk. An elephant's trunk is called a proboscis.

I'm anything/anybody in a line and a fight.
    Row. There is a difference in sound here. When it's a fight it sounds like OW, I've been hurt.
