    Saphira. Eragon got the name of Saphira from Brom, and named her so because it really fit with Saphira's shimmering blue scales. Brom's dragon was also named Saphira.

What was the name of Eragon's mother?
    Selena. Eragon's mother is Selena. She left Eragon to grow up with his uncle, Garrow. Eragon only finds out why she did this at the end of "Eldest".

    f. Lying in the ancient language is impossible, but it is possible to say something but mean something else. Eragon did this during "Eldest" while talking with Arya.

In the book "Eldest", who did Murtaugh tell Eragon his father was?
    Morzan. Eragon found out about this from his brother, Murtagh, during the battle towards the end of "Eldest". Murtagh even swore it in the ancient language.

What is the name of Eragon's sword?
    Zar'roc. Zar'roc belonged to Eragon's father, Morzan, before him. It was given to him by Brom. Towards the end of "Eldest", Murtagh takes Zar'roc away from Eragon.

What is the name of Murtagh's dragon?
    Thorn. Thorn is the second of Galbatorix's three eggs to hatch, after Saphira.

What is the name of "The Mourning Sage"?
    Oromis. Oromis trains Eragon during "Eldest", while his dragon, Glaedr, trains Saphira.

What is the name of the shade Eragon slays?
    Durza. After slaying Durza, Eragon earns the name "Shadeslayer".

Who succeeds Ajihad after he dies?
    Nasuada. Nasuada is Ajihad's daughter and thus inherits leadership after her father dies.

What is the name of Oromis's dragon?
    Glaedr. Glaedr is Oromis's dragon and he trained Saphira in "Eldest".
