    1966. The team's first year was 1966, and they finished with a 3-11 record. Their first head coach was Norb Hecker.

    14. The Falcons went 14-2 in 1998 and ended up NFC champions, only to lose in the Super Bowl to John Elway and the Denver Broncos 34-19. Prior to 1998, the team's best year was 1980, when they finished at 12-4.
