www.clevelandbrowns.com The Cleveland Browns were a founder member of the All-American Football Conference, and were champions in each year it existed, 1946-47-48-49. They joined the NFL in 1950 along with the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Colts, when the AAFC folded. The Browns were the Eastern Conference champions for six straight years 1950-51-52-53-54-55, and won three NFL titles, in 1950, 1954 and 1955. The franchise was de-activated when it moved to Baltimore as the Raven in 1996, and was re-activated in 1999. The team colors, history, awards and archives remained in Cleveland with the "new" Browns.
