Nick tries to prepare Whit and Connie to meet his friend Vince from New York. When Nick tells them about Vince he tells them about Vince's past. Vince used to be called "The Bad Guy", ripped off stores, and got in many fights. Nick tells White and Connie not to talk about his family, religion, or anything that has positive feelings.

He tells them just to say "Hey." and nod when Vince asks them a question.

2. Nick's old gang friend Vince, has become a Christian but Nick does not believe it. Why does Nick make plans to prove to Whit and Connie that Vince has not changed?

Answer: He doesn't believe that God can change a person like Vince.
