Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is a Spoppy a cross between?

Answer: A Spyder and a Poppit

All of these are Petpets, but only the Spyder and the Poppit can be transformed into the Spoppy. In order to do this, you need to bring them to the Cooking Pot so that Jhudiah can mix them together. Cooking Pot creations are usually much more rare and expensive than regular Petpets, so you may do this for the money. For other odd creations, try mixing an Angelpuss and a Triffin or a Puppyblew and a Poppit. Using the Cooking Pot, you can also make Battledome items, food, toys, and odd sand sculptures.

The Cooking Pot is in the north end of Mystery Island.
2. Which of these is not a real game?

Answer: Kassball

Despite the fact that 'Kassball' isn't a real game, you can still play games that are based on that evil, dreaded figure, Lord Kass. 'Whack-A-Kass' is similar to 'Splat-A-Sloth' since you must smack an effigy of the horrible creature, but 'Whack-A-Kass' involves stages, and many interesting features. 'Gormball', 'Zurroball', and 'Frumball' are all Virtupets games, and they're all quite different. 'Gormball' is the most well known.

In fact, Neopets hold an annual Gormball Appreciation Day every September 23rd.
3. What is the name Neopia's moon?

Answer: Kreludor

Kreludor was first explored in Year 5, and it's known for its Orange Grundo population. Kreludor featured many space-related games such as 'Kreludan Mining Corporation' and 'Freaky Factory' as well as many shops like 'Kreludan Homes' and 'Booktastic Books'. Kreludor also has that weird, idle Neocola machine on its surface. If you get a coin for it, see what you can receive!
4. Where can the Turmaculus be found?

Answer: Meridell

The Turmaculus is a giant Petpet in the center of Meridell that is known for sleeping most of the day. Using your Petpet, you can attempt to wake the creature in many ways (by dumping water on him, screaming, banging pots and pans, etc.), but often, this will do nothing. If he does wake up though, watch out; he may simply decide to eat your Petpet. Occasionally, he may give you a rare item though.
5. Which is not the name of a Faerie?

Answer: Nabile

Nabile was a character during the Lost Desert plot (of Year 6) who was once a member of the thieves group, The Desert Scarabs. When she and Tomos attempted to save Sakhmet from the evil Jazan, she realized that the only way to save her people was to marry Jazan and rule over Qasala with him.

After this, an evil was unleashed, and Jazan's father, Razul tried to destroy the Lost Desert. Those who managed to finish the lengthy and perplexing Lost Desert Plot could defeat Razul themselves with one of three weapons, and could win many riches and prizes from Lost Desert Paint Brushes to Handfuls of Sand!
6. Which is not a friendly character in the game 'Neoquest II'?

Answer: Zombom

Zombom was an evil Elephante wizard who was fought in the Mysterious Tower in Meridell. He blocked off the southern half of Meridell and White River City before he was defeated. When you get rid of this boss, you can also add Mipsy, the Acara magic-user, to your party. Rohane, Mipsy, Talinia, and Velm make up your four-person party in this great RPG on the Neopets site. 'Neoquest 1' starred Garon the Lupe and preceded this game.
7. Pawkeets can be bought on Krawk Island.

Answer: True

Pawkeets can be found in the 'Little Nippers' shop on Krawk Island, and they usually cost 55 Dubloons. Dubloons are much different than Neopoints considering that they cost much more. Dubloons are often used for the Swashbuckling Academy on Krawk Island, but they can be used in various shops around the island. To get Dubloons, you can go to Coltzan's Shrine, play games, or find them randomly.

It may be a bit expensive, but you can always find different ones in user shops.
8. What is a Xweetok?

Answer: A Neopet

Xweetoks were released around Year 6/Year 7 along with the Gnorbu and the Ogrin. They quickly became popular due to the way they looked and rose past a population of 2,000,000 within a few months while Ogrins and Gnorbus stayed far under 1,000,000 at the time.

They are quick creatures with long tails (but not as long as a Meerca's). They are known for their soft fur, and they come in many different colours, much like other pets.
9. During the game 'Tyranu Evavu', what does the word 'Tyranu' actually mean?

Answer: Higher

During the Tyrannian game 'Tyranu Evavu', you'll be shown a card from a deck, and you'll need to guess whether the next card is 'Tyranu' or 'Evavu' (higher or lower). If you guess correctly, you'll earn some money and move on. You can earn up to 12,000 Neopoints by getting all fifty-two cards, and you'll earn an avatar after about fifteen.

It costs thirty Neopoints to play, so you need to get about seven or eight cards correct to generate a profit. Remember, aces are always high!
10. In which game do you deal with Neggs?

Answer: Meerca Chase (II)

Many people know that Meercas can't resist a tempting Negg. If you don't want to chase Neggs, try going to the Ice Caves of Terror Mountain and checking out the Neggery owned by the Negg Faerie. There, you can trade Neggs for Negg Tokens and possibly get more exotic and rare Neggs like Cool Neggs, Happy Neggs, or Kaleideoneggs. Very Rare Neggs can cost many, many Negg Tokens.
