Voldemort killed James and Lily Potter on October 31 1981. Sybil Trelawney made a prophecy to Albus Dumbledore that a boy born at the end of July would be a match for Voldemort. This could have either referred to Neville Longbottom or Harry Potter. Voldemort thought it meant Harry.

He went to the Potters' house and intended killing Harry. James told Lily to run with Harry. Voldemort killed him first. Then, he went upstairs. He told Lily to move out of the way. She wouldn't move out of the way. Voldemort told her if she moved out of the way he would spare her life.

She begged him to kill her instead. He got angry and killed Lily. He tried to kill Harry, but his curse rebounded. Voldemort was destroyed and Harry became a hero. Harry was only one year old at the time.

In "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" Hogwarts is participating in the Triwizard Tournament. This is a competition that is held between three schools. Cedric Diggory is the champion of Hogwarts. But someone puts Harry's name in and he gets picked too. On the Third Task, Harry and Cedric both find the cup. You win if you touch the cup. Harry and Cedric touch it at the same time.

It turns out to be a portkey. They arrive at a graveyard. Wormtail comes in carrying Voldemort. Voldemort tells him to kill the spare. Cedric was the spare. Voldemort is reborn and comes back to power.

He duels Harry. Harry grabs Cedric's body and the two of them take the portkey back to Hogwarts. We find out that Mad Eye Moody was actually Barty Crouch Jr in disguise. Voldemort told him to turn the cup into a portkey.

In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" Voldemort plants visions in Harry's head. He makes Harry think he's torturing Sirius Black, Harry's godfather, in the Department of Mysteries. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Luna and Ginny rush there to help him.

They realise that it is a trick. The six of them go to the Hall of Prophecies. Harry sees his name on one. He picks it up. Death Eaters surround them. They try to get the prophecy from Harry. Harry or Voldemort were the only ones who could pick it up. That's why Voldemort put that vision in his head. Sirius and some of the Order of the Phoenix come to help. Bellatrix Lestrange kills Sirius.

Dorcas Meadowes was killed by Voldemort in the first war. She was in the original Order of the Phoenix. She was in the photograph that Mad Eye Moody showed Harry in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix".

Voldemort gave this order to Draco Malfoy because Draco's father, Lucius, messed up on a mission that Voldemort gave him. Voldemort knew Draco wouldn't succeed and would kill him if he didn't. This was just slow torture for his parents. Draco succeeded in getting the Death Eaters into Hogwarts, but didn't kill Dumbledore. Dumbledore knew he was dying, and asked Snape to kill him so he wasn't in pain. Snape killed Dumbledore on the Astronomy Tower.

Answer: Barty Crouch Jr.

Barty Crouch Jr. is Mr Crouch's son. Barty Jr is a Death Eater and Mr Crouch is very high in the Ministry of Magic. In "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" the Triwizard Tournament is going on at Hogwarts. Alastor "Mad Eye" Moody is the new Defence against the Dark Arts teacher. Voldemort orders Barty Jr to use Polyjuice Potion and be disguised as Mad Eye Moody. So, Barty Jr, disguised as Mad Eye, teaches DADA for the year. Mr Crouch was organising the Triwizard Tournament so he was at Hogwarts for a lot of the time. One day, Barty Jr followed Mr Crouch into the Forbidden Forest and killed him.

He then transfigured him into a bone so no one would see him.

Answer: Molly Weasley

In "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" there was a battle at Hogwarts. It was Hogwarts against the Death Eaters. Bellatrix tried to kill Ginny, Molly's daughter, but didn't succeed. Molly and Bellatrix duel and both are aiming to kill. Molly hits Bellatrix and she dies.

When Voldemort sees this, he points his wand at Molly. Harry, who is hiding under the Invisibility Cloak, jumps up and fights Voldemort.

Before Dumbledore died, he owned the Elder Wand. The Elder Wand was a very powerful wand. When you kill its owner you master it. When Snape killed Dumbledore Voldemort thought Snape had become the master of the Elder Wand. Dumbledore was buried with the wand. Voldemort wanted this wand to kill Harry so he got it out of Dumbledore's tomb.

He said it didn't work properly with him and so he had to kill Snape. If Snape was the master of the wand and Voldemort killed Snape then he would master it. Voldemort ordered Nagini to kill him by biting his neck.

In the end, it wasn't Snape who mastered the Elder Wand, it was Draco Malfoy. This is because Draco had originally disarmed Dumbledore.

We don't see the scene where Lupin gets killed but JK Rowling mentions it in an interview. During the Battle of Hogwarts Lupin and his wife Tonks fight very bravely. But in the end, Lupin gets killed by Dolohov and Tonks gets killed by her aunt, Bellatrix Lestrange.

Tom Marvolo Riddle is Voldemort's real name. In "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" he and Harry duel. The Battle of Hogwarts is going on. Harry decides to go to Voldemort and give himself up, because he didn't want others to die for him. Voldemort sends the spell to kill at Harry but he doesn't die.

He just gets knocked unconscious. He talks to Dumbledore and then comes back to himself. He pretends to be dead and then when Voldemort isn't expecting it he jumps up. They duel and Harry wins. The world is now a safer place.
