Toshinori Oda is described as looking like a frog, after Hirono Shimizu finds a frog in her drinking water. In the manga version of "Battle Royale", Toshinori is referred to as frog-boy and froggy.

2. Whose death did Sakura Ogawa witness when she was a child?

Answer: Her father

When Sakura was a child, the police entered her home without a warrant, and shot her father in front of her because he was against the government. This traumatised her severely, and was part of the reason why she felt she couldn't cope when she was thrown into the program.

3. How long had Sakura been going out with her boyfriend, Kazuhiko Yamamoto?

Sakura and Kazuhiko were a very close couple, and at the time of the program, they had been together for two years. They had slept together for the first time just a month before the program started.

Yutaka Seto was known for being the shortest in the class, but Toshinori was a close second, at just 162cm. Due to his short stature and unnattractive looks, Toshinori hated all the boys he knew who were tall and/or good-looking.

Yukie walked up behind the couple, possibly hoping to get them to join her group, just as they decided to jump from the cliff. Haruka appeared moments later, but Yukie was the only one to witness the suicide.

Shuya already fell into the "tall and attractive" category, which annoyed Toshinori, but he also hated him because of his music. Shuya was an amateur electric guitar player, who played much simpler tunes, but the crowd always went wild for him, and Toshinori resented this.

Answer: He opened his eyes when Kazuo came near

Toshinori was wearing a bullet-proof vest - his supplied weapon - so when Kazuo shot him in the chest, he fell on the floor and pretended to be dead. He expected Kazuo to go straight for Toshinori's discarded gun (taken from Hirono Shimizu), but instead Kazuo walked straight over to him. As he got close, he opened his eyes, and Kazuo shot him in the face with the uzi.
