Elliott is the dragon that befriends the orphan boy Pete in the fictional Maine town of Passamaquoddy. Elliott is a larger than life animated pink and green dragon that has the ability to make himself invisible. The dragon helps Pete escape from the wicked Gogan family and ultimately helps the boy find a home with Paul and Nora at the lighthouse.

Merle, Grover, and Willie are all members of the Gogan family.

Mushu is the comical dragon, voiced by Eddie Murphy, that appears in the 1998 Disney film, "Mulan". He has the face of a camel, claws of an eagle, horns of an elk, and the body of a snake. The red dragon is small in size, can survive explosions and avalanches, can speak to other animals, and ultimately learns to breathe fire. Once a guardian spirit for Mulan's family, he received a demotion for not protecting a soldier named Fa Deng. At the end of "Shrek II", we meet six dronkeys -- Donkey has become a father.

The black, fire-breathing lizard also appears in the Disney World spectacular "Fantasmic". In a spectacular light show the queen transforms into the dragon and battles Mickey Mouse.
