'Permanent Midnight' is probably not what most people are expecting of a Ben Stiller film. It is based on Jerry Stahl's autobiographical book of the same name and follows his downward spiral from his $5000 a week job writing TV scripts for Hollywood to his $6000 a week drug habit. 'Permanent Midnight' is credited for not making this type of life seem light or funny but shows it how it is - boring, dull and destructive.

But what happens to Stahl when he's pulled over by the police whilst looking for drugs with his young child in the back seat of the car?

'A Midnight Clear' follows the events of the American and German soldiers towards the end of war in 1944. Set in the Adriennes Forest on the French-German border, the German soldiers are discovered by the Americans and, after expressing their wish to surrender instead of die, end up 'celebrating' Christmas with their enemies.

But when things turn bad, who ends up on the wrong end of the barrel of a gun?

So with the Mafia, the FBI and a rival bounty hunter (Marvin) against them, Walsh has to keep The Duke and himself safe in a cross-country road trip. So does The Duke manage to escape Walsh, or do they end up friends for life?
