Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. One of the stops on the tour of the "cow farm" showed the class where cows were turned "into steaks and burgers." How were the cows being killed?

Answer: decapitated

When Rancher Bob offered a free sample from a recently killed cow, Cartman gleefully jumped at the chance! After that part of the tour, the class was taken into the "veal ranch," where baby cows were kept chained and immobile so they couldn't "walk around or get any exercise," so as to protect the tenderness of the meat.

The kids (with Cartman as the obvious exception) were horrified to learn that they'd been eating baby cows!
2. Cartman had a toolset that the boys wanted to use to rescue the baby cows. What movie was the toolset advertising?

Answer: Mission Impossible

When they got to the ranch and the other boys didn't know what to do with the tools, Cartman was annoyed by their ignorance but schooled them anyway: "First you put on the black ski mask and use the torch to cut a hole in the roof." The toolkit was pretty thorough, even providing a black suit like the one Tom Cruise wore and a harness by which Stan got lowered into the barn. Stan was perplexed, though, when he unchained the baby cows and they made no effort to run away!
3. What did Butters bring from his house to help the baby cows develop their strength?

Answer: Susanne Sommers' Calf Exerciser

The other boys were angry at Butters' stupidity; he had missed the distinction between human calves and baby cow calves!
4. Who snuck some food to the boys?

Answer: Cartman's mom

She was, of course, worried about her son and his insatiable hunger, so she snuck a basket of food in through the window. The other parents were frustrated because she was undermining the stand-off.
5. After the brief news coverage on the stand-off was deemed "not interesting news to anyone," to what did the station switch its programming?

Answer: Puppies from Around the World

Stan had found some strength in the fact that they were on the news, concluding that what they were doing must be "important to people." However, his hopes were dashed when he saw what the station considered more compelling programming!
6. What did Cartman negotiate to get in exchange for one of the calves?

Answer: guns

The negotiator was really no match for Cartman, who succumbed to none of his "clever psychology." Instead, Cartman talked the negotiator into delivering a crate of guns and ammo through the window in exchange for a single calf! However, when the negotiator tried his luck and asked for two calves, Cartman went back on the deal and demanded a missile if they wanted any calves to be released.
7. When Cartman negotiated transport for the boys and the calves, the driver was to be an actor from what show?

Answer: Star Trek

The demand stipulated that "the guy that plays Mr. Worf on 'Star Trek' [...] drive the truck. In full makeup." The FBI actually arranged for Michael Dorn to be woken up, put in full makeup, and brought to South Park. When Cartman hopped in the cab with him, he told Mr. Worf that he had to address him as "Captain!"
8. What did the FBI use to stop the transport truck?

Answer: balloons

They had the truck rigged so when they were outside the cattle ranch, they could push a button and inflate a bunch of balloons under the truck, effectively stopping it. Cartman ordered Mr. Worf to get out of the truck and kill the FBI agents, but Worf finally refused to accommodate the "boy terrorist!"
9. Were the boys able to save the baby cows from slaughter?

Answer: yes

Because one of the demands the negotiator had managed to meet was to get the FDA to officially change the word "veal" to "little tortured baby cow," the veal market had "gone dry." The baby calves were saved from slaughter and put outside to "live a normal life" with the rest of the cows.
10. Who got sick during his time with the calves?

Answer: Stan

Because he adopted a vegan diet while trying to save the baby cows, Stan developed a case of "vaginitis." The condition, caused by removing meat from one's diet, manifested itself in small vaginas forming like sores on the skin. Luckily, the doctors caught it in time and were able to reverse the effects by pumping "pure beef blood" into Stan's veins through an IV!
